Disk drive woes...
2 replies So I went and bought BF2 again because I lost my CD. I pop it in the drive, and the autorun doesnt come up. "no problem" I think, so I go to My Computer and try to install it manually. I click on D:\ and it asks me if I want to format the CD. I keep trying to make it load properly and it keeps asking to format. Thinking it might be a bad disk, I put a music CD into the drive, and lo and behold, the same "prepare this blank disk/ burn this shit" prompt comes up again. I tried it on another computer, and autorun comes up normally. I am running Vista Home Premium, and my computer is a new Toshiba laptop.
Any ideas? CD's or DVD's can't be formated
Either you are opening a card through a card reader or a floppy disk that are not formated, or your cd drive is broken. haha I got it working like 5 minutes after posting. All that I can remember doing is double clicking on the drive icon without having a disk inside... and then it works normally again
