Thats what I do many times... Just copy diffrent things, when it comes down to putting eggs in all the nests, (which I've done for my mods) I would just take the sheep script change the id for wool in my egg id, and then copy it to ever nest. Alot easier,

And probably alot easier to avoid mistakes in misstyping and so foth...

I don't need animation, and textures... Dont care about that. Can you just... export that models in ms3d or 3ds?

I can do them in well... Lots of formats to say the least, but the easiest is 3ds by far. But it's a quick conversion process after that, so, take your pick.

DJ Mate, I don't think I can explain more than I already have how to use a model.

I need NOT b3d, because I will do textures in milkshape 3d, and it can't import b3d, but only export.

3DS it is then. I'll get working on it.

You make revolvers?If yes,I waiting!

You're right... you'll be waiting a long time... A chisel is a plank of metal. A 5 minute job. A revolver may take me a week depending how much detail I put on it so don't go expecting it any time soon.

Well the way I model, is i use wings 3d, in combination with a few programs.

Biturn: This program lets you convert b3d files into other files.

Wings 3d:I like this modeller cause its simple to use and can be used to view 3D files easily. Also very Easy to UV map.

Gimp: I use Gimp to scale all the images i take from Wings and turn them into icons.

Snipping Tool: Cause my laptop has Windows 7 on it, i have access to the Snipping Tool, its a liitle program which creates an image from part of what is on your screen. I use this to select the object i created.

I am glad to see people are doing more modelling since I left. I haven't had the time to mess with stranded in a few months. That revolver is impressive, keep up the good work!

Thanks mate. It's nice to know my work is appreciated.

I'll be making more models but at the moment, I'm concentrating on the development of my mod viewer (link in my signature). At the moment, the mod viewer does items and combinations, but I've now put in the functions for reading the building and object files, however, being that the buildings structures link both to objects and units, I have to do the functions for reading the unit files so I can link them to the building structures. Once that's done, I can complete the building page and begin some swift work on the objects and units page. After that, it's the main files (things like "game.inf" etc) and then I might be able to release a complete version. However, much to the dismay of many, I have to change the way the combination page displays. It's using far too many user and GDI objects from the windows resources, so what I'm going to do is turn it into a table while overriding the paint function to paint the item icons onto the ListViewSubItems. Sorry builder, it's unavoidable now that S2EXt crashes the app immediately simply because it's too big.

Update: Added new (old) models; Grand Hall and Chair. The Grand Hall was modelled from the "Hut" and both models use wood01.jpg and planks.jpg from the original Stranded II installation. Credit for both the original model for the Grand Hall and textures goes to DC.

Progress on the SIIMV is very swiftly moving along now that I've completely rewrote information displays in a lot of sections. Expect a new release soon.

I need a toothpick model please. Also sorry for bringing up an old thread.

Nah, it's ok. But a toothpick? Are you sure? Ok, done. It's the last item on the first post.
