DC, you mentioned somewhere that you will implement lag comprehension into CS:2D, you also said, that you'll have the ability to turn this function on/off. Now I think that's stupid, to have the ability to turn it off/on, should be on every server, permanently.

For those people, who'd like to play without the comprehension, can lower the servers pinglimit. So high latency players, can't play.

No, It's actually important to have this setting because enabled lag comprehension consumes additional CPU power and more memory. it can make a difference when hosting on a weak system.
Moreover it's safer for me to implement new features with a corresponding setting so people can tweak the setting or completely disable it when problems occur.

However it will be enabled by default (when it works properly). This means that most servers will have it enabled.

solution for you: ask the server hoster/admin if this setting is enabled and only put servers with the feature enabled into your favorites list (if you have a high ping - otherwise you don't have to care).

How about adding a search filter for that? And make it appear in the server lisy as a icon just like with FOW,password protected and latency.

@-GaS-:
I think that this is a bad idea for a couple of reasons:

• It would be pretty uncommon and very odd (I don't know any game having such a strange filter...)

• the setting is also simply not important enough

• might be even confusing for some players who don't understand what it means

• most servers will have it activated anyway

• filter settings might become too complex and confusing

• people might request even more pointless filters when I implement a filter like that one

I think everything has been said.
√ there will be a setting for it
√ it will be enabled by default
√ there will be NO filter or other crazy stuff for it because it's just not necessary

I'll close this thread before other strange ideas come up
