i dont think that there is something like a "god" but also i dont think that the big bang theory makes sense ( http://pics.nase-bohren.de/bigbangtheory.jpg ) ... atm nobody knows how everything started since there are no real proofs. i belive in some sort of evolution but still the universe already exists in this theory and somehow the universe needs a start too.

this "Religionous teachings" are the ideas of humans who wanted to live in peace with their neighbours.
if there wouldnt been any religion ppl would have figured out something like a law that help to live in groups.

I personally thing we were created and then left to evolve in certain ways. I mean even if the earth is billions of years old, how could we of evolved all of these complex things? It's not like a curly-winged fruitfly can breed with another one and lay eggs that will hatch into maggots which would metamorph into curly-winged fruitflies again! The idea of things changing all on their own just by chance is so small, we would probably still be single-celled organisms now.

Plus, a lot of great biologists, such an Mendel, that french monk that dicovered genetics, etc, were all believers of Creationism. But then comes a long one guy with a theory and suddenly everyone believes him! Well actually it took time until people really accepted his theory, just under 100 years, if i am correct. And may I add that a lot of scientists today believe in Creationism? If you ask me Evolution is the same as having 1000 monkies given a typewriter and then someone should observe how long it takes for one to type the verse "Hello World!" It would take them millions of years, if at all one managed to type it, it would probably be all fucked up and in the middle of a couple billion other letters.

And Mir, I personally do not like that the bible says that animals were created for the benefit of human beings, they all have their own little souls and killing them for a medioka source such as food is wrong. We should actually love all animals and conserve them for our own sake.

And have you ever seen why the people go suicide bombing? It isn't their religion, its their crazy fucking extremist priest things they have! They tell the people right from when they were born that killing themselves "for their country and for their religion" is good. It isn't their fault, it's the other wacko's. Plus, if religion has no point and it's all a load of bullshit, why does majority of the world believe it?

I have seen some pretty wierd shit that kinda scares me, when I was 13 I went to this lady to help me cope with my rather wierd life and she scared the living day-lights out of me with the things that were put into my head ( I actually cannot explain it ). She was a theophostic ( literally meaning "the light of god" )... teacher? Conveyer? I cannot explain properly what I felt. It felt like my whole body was dead, i couldn't hear, i couldn't see and i couldn't feel anything. I remember it like I did it yesterday simply because it was so... amazing, I can't forget it. If you went to a session, you would see what I meant,

We evolved, maybe not rapidly.. but somehow we adapted and became to who we are now..

Well if you ask me well there was no beginning..
At some point a clock started and mankind was born..
Something like that, mankind created religons not a all powerfull god if he was so powerfull he would actually do something about this world.
You ppl out there can think what you want i have my own meaning..
No god, no big bang.. Just started for some reason we STARTED nothing else, try finding the reason you will just be told it is not true and you will try, and try, and try.. But not everyone will belive you. They want to live with there god wich never does anything it is just pure luck.
That is fine by me

I think religion was created to give us all a sense of unity and to give us hope. But, I'm sure that someone is gonna open their mouth and blurt out their arguments. And to that: bring it on.
But, I believe in Creationism. And nothing shall change that.

there is no contradiction; there is nothing worth arguing.

perhaps God drove the process of evolution and at one point, caused the evolution of "homo sapiens" and gave this species special qualities which set it apart from everything else.

perhaps all the other animals were happily evolving and then God literally made humans as something very similar to animals,
