I like GeNeSiS_MaSoN's control lua idea I may even use it as a bass when I try to script a working secondary fire modes for the MP5s (P90) & M4s (AK47) M203 grenade launcher using the rocket launcher.

I like his layout since its identical to the original Half Life. I'm only worried that it may course lag for online COOP maps For the single player campaigns however its perfect.

currently i think its not possible for time... its like the portal gun made with little lights like the alarm in the env_object they are just soo small that we think its a full sprite of the portal...so the same goes with the flame

edit: this is one of my latest test maps called c0a0_train_ride_test (i was basicly gonna use it for train ride testing but i just started to slowly add more and more levels)

this does not show the entire level but i think i got carried away with this mapping

Players mostly use this map as a Costruction-Deathmach-Team Deathmach mode. But mostly Construction couse its MORE FUN

The snarks can be made with the snark NPC n lua for example to make them a weapon.

Another issue is that the .357 magnum will probably have to be made as a independent lua based weapon as well since the CS2D deagle will be used for the HL opposing force deagle since it fits so well.

The laser cant be used for the Gauss gun since it does not behave like the Gauss gun.

Thus the Gauss gun will be lua based & perfectly mimic its original HL counter part. I want it to be able to be charged & the beam must be able to ricochet off of walls.

The same goes for the Gluon gun, crossbow & their ability's.

The opposing force displacer cannon will most likely be a lua modified portal gun.

I also intend to make an ammo lua script for the mod in that each gun will use its own ammo.

For example Glock & Beretta will use only 9mm ammo pick ups made from sprites like the Glock clip for example.

and what about CT = Chumtoad or as i call him the ChummyToad... he has been used as a weapon in BETA HL and i was planning to add him also... he could be like a gut bomb that sends him out to annoy players

i found the concept so i think i can reskin his claw holding form into the labcoat one and just remove the hands... the mp_wpndmg can help with not hurting anyone

the skin of the beta FEMALE scientist! its VERY VERY old

i also had an idea about the barnacle it would be a top down sprite of it and if the player walked into it he would not be able to move for a couple of seconds and then die if he would not kill it

i was also planning to do is use DCs classes lua and change them to separate the Hgrunts from the Scientist/Survival Team and make some gamemodes say like the Hgrunts must destroy a certain objective or reach a certain area to win.

The teams would have an each class

Hgrunts :

Engineer/Torch - Builds a Turret Gun and Breaks Doors
Medic - Do i even have to explain?
Heavy Weapons Guy/Saw Guy - Basicly either he has a m249 or a minigun
Regular Soldier - Mp5,Glock,He,Ammo (usual grunt)
Sniper - Can only stay in certain areas that he spawns in and snipes.
Black Ops - mp5,Usp,He, (Crossbow maybe?)

Survival Team/Scientists :

Security Guard - Shotgun,Glock,Armor
Scientist - Glock,Unlocks special areas for other people
Constructor/Engineer - Basicly he can also build a turret and upgrade it... he only has a wrench
HEV - Just like gordon
Creator/VIP Scientist - he does not have any weapon but he creates NEW weapons for the rest of the team.

Spectator Team - Gman (No weapons,No nothing)

I have a couple of maps for these kind of lua but im not a scripter so i really need help

Same goes for certain objects like the tool box ^ wet floor sign.

The buttons can also be made with sprites & triggers.

I'm still working on perfecting the tile set you gave me along with all the sprites for my beta version of anomalous materials map to show you what I mean.

Somewhere around March if im lucky Ill also release the map to you for testing. for now im focusing on making players & weapons in a similar fashion as my CS:S 2D BETA skins but remade for Half Life theme.

Thus its likely that the beta map I was talking about may be delayed till after March so yea im not sure I can release the beta map & players/weapons at the same time.
