Do you want to let the people put blocks on other blocks and if there's only 1 block more where he tries to go,than where he stands, he can, but else not? (Something like "jumping") I thought about that. Shouldn't be to hard, but generating a world... that should be some more difficult. A real good mod would be really hard.. just think of mining :/.

I'm not going to make block-on-block building, nor can I POSSIBLY do level auto-generation, the mod is going to have a lot less functions than the original, and it makes me sad ( ), but still there's a hope, I've already done building and mining + inventory. Too bad there's no command/function to spawn entities.

If we could check the X and Y of the mouse and if it's clicked, then someone(or you) could make a crafting system just with images.

But now, you could make something like block-on-block, but let the player just "destroy" the highest block.

@Yasday
Easier said than done...
but this won't be an easy lua anyway.

But anyway I've looked around, and i cant find a minecraft 2d mod ANYWHERE (a few stuff...but no mods). So you're good to go.

I am making a minecraft map.
It hasn't got many things on the surface, but it has underground, where there's a network of many caves, like in real minecraft. I can make the map, and you can make the lua IF we collaborate.
