Hi all.

I was using autoaim bot hack for 3 hours yesterday. It works good, when you press [SPACE] it will aim to the nearest player.

I was thinking about it if there is any way to detect it. Then i saw topic on this forum "Player rotation". If we can detect which angle is player looking, we are able to detect if is he looking straigh to some player (with knowing of player position) for some time. There should be also some limit. We can measure the "looking time" and then compare it with "right" amount of time.

What do you think about it?

I don't use hacks for online playing. I used it at my own server (localhost). I'd like to know if this could work or not with LUA.

That's not possible, either bot or player we can't know their "looking time", we can rotate 360° in-game. anytime.

you will probably have false-positive detections for people who aim good without aimbot because you have to add a tolerance due to lag and latency...

You'll either have no detection at all, or, like DC said, a lot of false-positives. I tried it out once and found out that an aimbot does not aim straight at a player (at the exact centre). Detection through an exact angle works perfectly on bots with virtually no false positives (it's almost impossible to aim for the one pixel at the exact centre of a plater), but does not work at all on aimbotters.

This is what i was afraid... So, we can ban speedhackers but we are not able to ban autoaimbotters. I mean I'd like to make league in CS2D and i'm looking for all kind of cheating around here. That's why am i asking so much about it. Thanks for answers.

afaik you need atleast 2-3 referees watching the game. It's pretty easy to figure out who uses an aimbot, because most aimbots are configured pretty simple.
