We shall not forget that day, the worst day for Japan since the 2nd WW!

Why are you laughing?
Most stuff comes from Asia, since China is a very large country they make a lot mre then others.
Just look at technology, most of it we have to thank China, and America for making the first computer
Maybe they got it from China lol.

Japan has the technology and the ability to create new stuff, but China provides most of the material.

To those who laugh at this tragedy, just keep in mind, when it's your turn to die needlessly and you need help, take comfort in the fact that the world will have learned from your shining examples and will leave you to die, 'cause it "Ain't our problem"
People die everyday...let me quote that EVERYDAY... it means everytime you wake up someone is probably DEAD and someone was probably born... no one cares about that... if all the people around the globe cared for every human that dies... i dont think the humanity would last much long...

What if some bum that you dont even know dies on your street from *lets say cancer or gets run over by a car* will you care? are you gonna cry all day long just couse that bum died? I hardly think so... and Visa Versa

The world itself is going to hell with its everyday problems... Tsunamies,Earthquakes,Volcano Eruptions,Tornados,Floods,Massive viruses,Acid Rains,Anomaly Malfunctions...

Whats the most important thing for humanity?
Money... people will Kill,Die for a freaking paper...
Money cant buy happiness - Money... in a way its just an ordinary everyday paper with a drawn picture of some guy on it... look at it as an ordinary everyday paper...it does not look like gold in anyway... its just a paper that you can rip apart... i dont understand why people decided that PAPER should be money... *probably becouse its easier to carry it around in your pockets?*
Money bought hell on earth... now we pay up everyday... to earth its like a GIGANT loan that will never be repay'd in its life

Death is inevitable... we are all gonna die 1 day so get over it... even if we die heroes or some lazy bums no one is gonna care...

Its accualy funny as my friend told me that people that want to leave japan are ready to claw each others face off just to get first in line to escape... its funny how man struggels for survival & even willing to kill one of his own people just to survive himself... my friend even shown me a video from his phone how 11 people started to fight near the boat just to escape

Yes, people die every day and not everyone cares, but some do, even without having a reason to do so. This is mainly because those who feel a strong connection to reality and the planet also feel a strong connection to their species and mourn when one is lost needlessly.

Not cry. I would be disappointed with the waste of life caused by such a polluted machine and endeavour to find an alternative to the cars that kill so many. Care is about understanding through knowledge. Understanding that this is one RARE crisis that hasn't happened in a long time is part of the reason people are caring.

I am well aware that very little people care about me... But this is not a choice. This is not something I can switch off. You guys may not care about me, but I can't help caring about all of you, constantly looking for a way to make life better for everyone, not just me and mine. I know there are no rewards and most people (just like you) laugh at how much I give a damn, but I feel morally righteous in it. I'd rather be miserable knowing how many people I can't help than happy pretending they don't need it.

Aye. The reason this one got so much attention is because it's had a bigger impact than those of recent history... So why are you shocked by this?

Aye, money is a massive cause of damage in this world and it's the idea of debt based economies that does it. There are currently projects underway trying to offer an alternative. You should really watch some free online documentaries called "Money is Debt" and "Money is Debt II". Might help reaffirm what you're feeling and show you exactly how right you are.

Then why do we hold Newton and Einstein in such high regard but teach of the failing and evil of those who took part in Nazi Germany? People etch their mark on history with the things they do in life. Most people make a scratch, some dig a chasm, but in the end, we all leave a mark. I want mine to be a dignified mark, so although maybe no one cares, I will keep my life well becuase I'm doing it for my own honour, not out of some theatrical need to please society like so many others. I don't care because I want the world to see me caring, I care because I don't want to see people dying needlessly (Yes, people die everyday, but some of it could be prevented by us all being a lot less greedy).

Man is still part animal. We're not completely conscious thinkers so many parts are controlled by our desire driven subconscious. Guys will drop honour for fear, but men don't, even if it costs their life (almost seeming like a fools errand). So you make yourself what you will eventually be remembered as.

We should care because the current attitude of the world is "I don't care" and that just makes us all look like crap.

@Night Till Death:
Don't try to argue that we shouldn't care, simply because humans as a species will not survive if no one cares.
...
Which logically means, by your argument, that you want us all to kill each other and destroy the world...

Do you wonder why I don't agree?

All I can say is I'll do everything in my power, as little as that may be, in order to contribute directly to their recovery. Everything from flooding my local MP with letters and e-mails calling for us to help, trying to build social links to families in Japan through an already damaged infrastructure and whatever else I can... Just because, if I ever get in a similar situation, I hope someone comes to bail me out.

Any reactor has exploded yet.
Only hydrogen exploded few times which was used to cool down reactors at Fukushima nuclear power plant.
Moreover, serious threat could be reactor's meltdown.

Aye, saw a video from PBS Newshour about how devastating the damages were. I saw them already collectively, but when you see one individual's house completely desecrated, with maybe a picture as being the last remnant, you get some feelings. Try and see it in their shoes.

Not sure what you guys are being told in your country, but we're being told (by the BBC) that the plant has only 4 reactors. #1 is blown, #2 is smoking, #3 has blown and is leaking radiation and #4 has some fuel rods that need to be kept in water, but that's running dry and they can't get to it because the radiation from #3 is too strong so they're talking about helicopter water-bombing but they are concerned that there would be no protection for the helicopter crew from the radiation.

One slide of a tectonic plate and our species takes one hell of a hit... I wish good luck to all those caught up in this tragedy and peace to all those with lost relatives. I hope you find what you need...
