Another idea would be to make the night vision be a drop able item like with other regular items. Tho im not sure if that would cause more bugs along the way so Ill leave this one up to a expert.
Well, it could be possible through maybe a (on keypress + on keyhold) function within BlitzMax and then maybe when holding down the "N" key for a period of time let's say 1000ms that way the player would be able to drop the nightvision goggles. Let's just hear from DC if that's possible to do.

A weapon customize option isn't really a good idea in my opinion, keep in mind that CS2D is based off of CS1.6 so thus only weapons, features, & NPCs from CS1.6 to CS 1.0 & HL1 (since CS was originally modified from it) are recommended.

The ability to customize the existing CS2D weapons via some kind of server / client side secure script (similar to source or lua) would only be useful for mods & mod servers. Basically being able to change the guns names, ammo per mag/reserve, maybe ammo type, to secondary ability's (like silencers & 2x / 4x scopes), rate of fire (limited to 1,200 rpm to eliminate lag issues & that's all that's really needed since the fastest normal MG fires around that rate).

But again this would only be useful for mods & thus is not really a high priority.



Also on another personal note I would like to add that individual scope sprites for the Sig. 552, AUG, Scout, AWP, Sig. 550, & G3.SG-1 would be be great for the sake of both skin makers & moders. DC can just reuse the default CS2D scope but just add specific names for each sniper rifle scope (total just 6). The CS2D community can make customized scopes for it on our own & it would make the game a bit more dynamic for customization.

Well DC could certainly do it he has the talent to do so but the main problem with it is that it would be a shitload of recoding for something that could only marginally to moderately improve CS2D & make it more mod friendly but on the down side as I said b4 a shitload of coding & recoding & a whole new series of bugs to worry about. Thus its not really important atm since there are other bugs to deal with & simpler ideas can be implemented to alleviate DCs work load.

Like say my scope idea is one. DC can also focus on his NPC as a just a little more work & they become universal NPCs (the soldier being the one im talking about) for various uses. Hes almost got them perfect atm Just needs to make them at least some what intelligent when it comes to player/bots & vise verse with bots. Other minor bugs also have to be ironed out as well.

• 1.players change the npc's skins so thay can have ct 3 different skins for grunts.
• add teams so you can chose a team for the soldiers
• new weapons.
• texture packs. (like mine craft so if a skin wont work you can go to default if it doesn't work.)
• make the server transmit list auto generated useing pics form luas to save us the hassle of adding like 500 pics into the txt file

√Npc Editor is good idea, as DC said "cs2d is NOT a game maker tool" .But some scripters add Npc (for example Starkkz added cool Strider and Combine Gunship), why wouldn't everyone with imagination make it's own Npc? There are Halo,Stargate, and other games based maps for cs2d, just imagine them followed with original npc...
(Do you like Garry's mod? There's npc editor, at least ability to add models and arm em with in game weapons)

√ Moving sprites function is my dream, just imagine automaticaly moving means of transportation (cars,planes,trains...)!
To make it there should be path entity (like in original cs editor-Hammer)
>info_path : shows start-middle-ending points of movement, that also can make Npc move automaticaly (there were suggestions like patroling npc)
parameters are: sprite/npc entity name (for start point) speed (for sprites only), next point of movement. If there is no following points- object stops.

Also I like idea of friendly npc.

Not everyone knows how to script with lua, so be fair.

More Particle Types
env_strip - strips items can be chosen for example env_strip (Melee,Pistols,Rifles,Armor)

I have been thinking about adding that to CS:S or CS1.6/CS:CZ but not for CS2D
