In general of you do add it you could make the M249 lighter & do slightly less damage while the M60 would have the same weight as the current M249 & slightly more damage. It would balance the game a bit more.

I can also create the drop, use, & menu models for it if you don't want to waste time on that.

Its a cut weapon like the gas mask idea of mine earlier but unlike that I cant simply make a new weapon with lua so thus im hoping that you will seriously consider adding it either as a buy-able weapon for T. team alone, both CT & T teams, or as a stand alone non buy-able weapon like the flame thrower, RPG, grenade launcher, exc.

Well the T get AK47 & CT get the M4 since that's the way its always been in CS games. CS2D is just a 2D version of CS1.6 with some extras but yea at its core its CS1.6 in 2D format.

it was cut from counter strike 1.6 & later re added to condition zero deleted scenes. It was originally meant for CS1.6 which predates CS:CZ & CZ deleted scenes.

I love machine guns, and yes I think some machine guns would be nice in CS2D. The M60 would then be a good weapon of choice whenever the player is outnumbered against several enemies, so that the player could easily eliminate all resistance.

IF added its stats should be similar to the M249. It should have the same accuracy (bullet spread) & weight. The rate of fire should be a little over half of the m249 which fires at 750-1000 RPM while the M60 is 500-600 RPM. The M60 would also do more damage since it fires a bigger bullet the NATO 7.62x51mm as opposed to the m249 which fire the smaller NATO 5.56mm round. It uses either 50 or 100 round ammo belts sometime contained in canvas or metal boxes.

So in summery here is what I think the M60 should be like roughly.

R.O.F. = a little over half of he current m249
weight = same as the current m249
accuracy = same as m249
damage = greater than the m249 (20 or 25)
reload time = roughly the same as the m249
ammo = 50 or 100 per mag with 200 or 300 in reserve.

If something like this is done than DC could also slightly decrease the current m249s weight for the sake of balance & the fact that the m249 (a LMG) is lighter than the m60 (general purpose medium MG)

The M60 if made to be buy able would be more expensive than the m249 (roughly about $6000-$6250) & available to both teams.

no I'm not happy. it really wasn't necessary to post the same thing again in that thread...

it's stupid if you consider that I already said 100 times that I will not add any new buyable weapons which are not part of the original cs 1.6. so the "yes" option is pointless because it will not happen. the only possible option would be to add it as unbuyable weapon.

besides that adding new weapons has a very low priority... and this thread could motivate other players to create additional weapon suggestion threads which would be very annoying.

There was alot of fun stuff that was cut from the original CS games that could do CS2D alot of good when it comes to fun factor & mod capabilities. And in the end that's why a majority of us play CS2D 1) for fun, & 2) we love to mod it & create skins for it.

And the yes options is not to decide weather or not it will be included in the game, its only to see who would want to see it in game either as a buyable or non buyable weapon.

This is not a personal or selfish request its to see if the community would like the idea.
