Your mom...

You also suck, y'know that, right?

Mac OS X is the best system. If you ask me, that is. An Apple computer is like a multimedia powerhouse, the dream of any artist.

Definitly agree on that! You know you can get mac OS on a PC right ? But wouldn't be so legal ( -->Hackintosh< -- > Says in the OSX terms of service or whatever that it's OS can only be on an apple computer... that sucks... )
But... Not sure about it, is it possible to make your own applications and programs ? Like develop them... ? Been hearing it's not possible cuz of the App store and stuff... Well if you can't that sucks too

But still i must admit Mac kinda the best in many aspects.

Windows gets the lead because it's already present everywhere -.- ...

Linux is ok....

Since Windows 7, Windows is far superior to Linux and mac OS X.
The plug&play ability of Windows, the amount of drivers available for it all beat Linux.

Since 7 ? 7 was basically an update of Vista.. Even the UI sucks...

The amount of drivers... Linux got nearly all of them in it's libraries, already installed with the OS. And you know that's because the companies have no choice, all their hardware's already running on windows, they have to make drivers for windows or they're screwed.

Plug and&play LOL, Linux got that working better than windows, just like I said before, drivers nearly all the hardware you can imagine come with the OS in it's libraries. e.g When I first clean installed Win 7 on my old XP machine, there was no display driver, so i ad to struggle with the shitty default windows driver on a 600x480 or lower resolution to find the original driver on the internet. When i got Linux on another partition it just turned on, went with my normal resolution, AND even on a dual screen setup.

I've tried Ubuntu, OpenSUSE and every windows version since windows 95.

The software available for Windows beats the linux and mac osx software in every way.
I needed a nice music player, there is NONE for linux! I tried banshee, rythmbox ragnarok, but they're all shit compared to iTunes, Winamp, songbird etc.
People are also willing to create better software for Windows, because it's a bigger market.

No really what did you expect. Which one was first huh ? Windows or Linux ? Windows dammit. And it was already basically on nearly all the computer you can find...

Setting up a home server for my roommates was such a horror with linux.. With windows i just had to plug in the ethernet cable, and my external HDD and it was all set up!

You sure you know how to use linux ?

I got win 7 ultimate on all my machines at home, and 'homegroup' is all messed up. It works when it wants.

Don't get me wrong, Linux has it uses too! When i'm on my laptop and i'm without a power supply, i usually boot in ubuntu because of less power consumption, longer battery life. Also ubuntu boots up a bit more quickly so when i just need to check mail or read a pdf, i use ubuntu.

Can't really judge about mac OS X, i tried it once with a friend, but everything was so weird and all the menu's buttons etc were all weird. It really looks like it's made for babies that need everything polished and art-y.

All i can say is that you have no taste. Sorry, you just don't. BTW showdesktop comes from mac, just like a bunch of features windows stole from them.

A huge amount of useless software. Mac OS X has the best programs around.

iTunes

Which is a Mac software.

Since when do kids care about beauty? They only care about games. Mac has an awesome interface, everything there is simple and at the same time, nice looking.

+100

I'm basically for none. I use them all. None of them are perfect. They all have pro's and con's .

But I'm still using windows... lol...

But Mac is awesome! Just waiting to get a MacBook... ( And currently attempting to install Mac on my PC lol [it's possible i swear, but giving a link would be against forum rules, it's not too legal... pm me if your that curious] )

I've tried linux a few ears back and I liked it. But I still had the tingly windows feeling in me so I switched back. But in my opinion linux is still the best, even thought I haven't used it that lately. and FYI when linux becomes as popular as windows, hackers will start targeting linux and then you can say goodbye to virus free OS.

but that doesn't mean other hackers who have no soul would try to destroy it for just their fun. And by saying hackers with no soul, I really mean hackers with no soul.

I like the Windows OS just because it is very well built. It delivers what it promises and it has no direct problems except that it happens that programs are not responding, and so on but regardless it will still be a pretty good OS, from my opinion.

Ok, stopped with the jokes. It depends what you want to do with them. I don't like mac to a personal computer, for me is more an Workstation. Linux is for who wants to do the basics things with a computer: acess web pages, read e-mails, register in chats etc. Windows is for who wants more things, like play games, watch movies, etc.

Here's a conundrum - I use Windows, I like Linux.

Windows is okay but it's meh - too much slowness and crashes.

On the other hand, Linux is quite the opposite, however a great deal of today's applications and games do not support Linux. I mean, you could launch them in it okay, but it would be a little pain in the arse.

I'm definitely gonna poot Dual Boot with GRUB on my computer like I had it before. And also I like Ubuntu.

Mac is good for people of art who don't care about things we care about - it's shiny, pretty, has neat graphical FX. Pretty outside, yet not so pretty inside.

...a few ears back...

Oh lol... ( everyone makes mistakes, no hard feelings lol )

Same thing, I got Linux installed on another partition (ubuntu 11.04) but I'm just too used to windows... But ready to learn Mac when I succeed installing it... (Well if it's that good i will ;P)

@Kimkat7 : Yah that's true, but we must admit that no one pays for Linux ;P

@Hardstylehunt3r: -_-...

@EngiN33R: Exactly the same thing, but i like Mac more than Linux ^^. Still trying to get mac to work on this computer ...( And waiting for the new mac Lion to go out, looks so awesome. Wish those ads on the apple website aren't exaggerated. )

lool sorry, anyways there's not really a "BEST" OS in the world, its just matters on how the person masters the OS, how he uses it and what type of job he wants the to do on the OS. All of them have there advanteges and dis advanatges, but still we can't really say which is the best one.
