Hi guys,
I just read in Steam that Valve is planning to make a new CS. Some quotes:

Already heard of that.

What i'm expecting: Tactical and balanced weapons. Aim System. Forest, Snow, and other cool maps. Perfect hitboxes (fit the model nicely). And much more, Counter-Strike is not a tactical shooter game like Call of Duty and other, it's just run, shoot, jump and no team work.

But that's what makes it Counter-Strike!

Old news. Heard about it a year ago.

yes, valve said they make perhaps a new cs. but they said nothing else. the name is new, the steam page is new. the news are new. blargh.

oh and @joao

"tactical and balanced weapons"
they are all tactical and balanced.

"aim system"
there is a crosshair.

"forest, snow, and other cool maps"
cs_milltia, cs_office..

"perfect hitboxes"
they are perfect, shoot in the head > headshot. shoot above the head > no kill. shoot between the legs > no hit. what do you want?

"counter-strike is not a tactical shooter like call of duty"
call of duty and tactical? best joke i have ever heard.

"its just run, shoot, jump and no teamwork"
well, in call of duty you run, shoot, jump too. and theres no teamwork, everyone kills everyone, in hardcoremode everyone make teamkills.. and in cs there is teamwork. without teamwork you cant survive in cs.

There is a Episode 3 Delay Department in Valve, where a large group of brilliant men devise ways to delay EP3 even further.

Making TF2 free?

I hate when people try to make CS into CoD.
No need for tactical and that shit, you have CoD for that. CS has its own style which lots of players likes.

Well based off of my own expediencies from playing various CS games here are some basic things id recommend be implemented to make it a viable and vibrantly popular game like its predecessors.

For starters

NO MORE FUCKING MOVING HIT BOXES D:<

This is one of the main reasons CS:S blows >>

A proper registry system and realistic weapon hit vales are also recommended. Again is CS:S its all too often that you can shoot an enemy player point blank see the blood effects and only wind to shot dead by him were you can conveniently see in the screenshot death image that he is still at 100 HP >>

Also shooting a person in the head, neck, or upper torso, with armor piercing weapons should be fatal regardless of body armor or at the very least to 80-90 damage.

Head shots are instant kill no questions asked.

on that note to make it fair and make the armor useful any user who is equipped with a kevlar vest, helmet, jacket "covers arms as well", & or full kevlar suit would be immune to all non AP weapons which are chambered in the following calibers.

The following rounds would NOT penetrate kevlar and damage the player but would do a small amount of damage "wear and tear so to speak" on the kevlar armor it self.

45 ACP, .38 cal & .38 special, 9x19mm Parabellum, .357 Sig, 9x18mm Makarov "both PM & PMM", .50 cal AE, .44 magnum, .41 Magnum, .357 Magnum. 4,10,12, & 20 Gauge shotgun shells, 7.62x25mm Tokarev, .40 cal S&W & other such rounds usually pistol, smg, and shotguns would not be able to penetrate body armor.

The following calibers are armor piercing and would pretty much ignore armor.

.223 "5.56x45mm NATO", .308 "7.62x51mm NATO", 7.62x39mm M43, 6.5 Grendel (6.5x39), 5.45x39mm 7N10, 5.7x28mm FN, 9x19mm 7N31 "Russian AP variant", 9x21mm SP10, 11, & 12 Russian AP special round, 5.45x18 MPTs Russian KGB/FSB round", 4.6x30mm AP H&K MP7 round, Chinese 5.8x21 DAP92-5.8, 6.5x25 CBJ / MS, KGB/Spetznaz 7.62x41 SP-4, 7.62x45mm "Vz. 52", 9х39 SP6 subsonic AP "VSS weapons", 7.62x54R, .338 Lapua Magnum "AWM/AWP", 7.92x57 Mauser "still in use by Serbia with the M76 SR", adn the rest after that are large caliber anti material/sniper rifle rounds like Barret 50 cal. and .408 Chey Tac.

They only way to stop small AP rounds usually found in special smg's and personal defense weapons is if the vest.jacket has a ceramic or steel plate insert that is capable of stopping small AP rounds from the 5-7, MP7, and other PDW calibers like that. But once you get to 5.56mm NATO and up the insert will at best minimize damage but not stop the round.

Optional Iron sights similar as what is shown in the mod Firearms Source 2.0 are also recommended.

Basically that system alone would make the game more fast paced and realistic and the realism would be a + as it would make the game more like a tactical shooter like its predecessors and it would be more realistic than other competing games like BF3 and MW3.

I would also like to see the return of the tactical shield in various forms like a basic polymer riot shield and steel composite solid shield like the original CS games.
