Ok, now I had realized that I've had enough. I'm making my skins, but It sucks and some are stolen (I have deleted some of it.). I am just trying to make stuff to the very best I can, so people would like it... But I have realized that its a waste of time making craps or whatever.

Tellme, why do I have to make skins? Is it to make people be amazed at you? Just download stuff of peoples instead wasting time making stuffs.

Please answer my question. I don't care if this thread is a trash, just answer my question. I want to know...

people make skins because they enjoy making them or because they want to use them themselves (and didn't find similar skins).
well.. at least that should be the reasons. uploading them and sharing them with others is just a side effect.

it's actually a good idea to stop if you don't enjoy the process of making skins! making skins just to get fame even if you don't like to create skins is kinda pathetic.

That's a good reason... Maybe I should make my skins for myself, and not uploading it and getting bad comments. Thanks DC, now I'm retiring for making skins. Thats it! I have made my decision.

Some also do it because they are amazingly talented at making skins. So they make skins for those, who are not as talented as they are. I really suck at making pixel-art. I would never be able to make skins that actually look good (maybe I would, but it would take me ages of time). I am better with doing other things. So I do the things I'm good at and they do the things that they are good at. By sharing, everybody has benefits. I share the things I am good at and they share the things they are good at. That's how society works.

Thanks everyone, thank you for all of you replies. But I don't find that making skins can calm yourself or relax, It just waste my time.

But want to finish the Fallout mod that Scyther was developing. I cannot make stuff only by myself, but I can do it with others.

Go out for a smoke in the woods. Look at nature. It's so peaceful.

I skin/sprite because it's similar to drawing, it's something that I enjoy doing - And if it contributes to something, then that's all the better.

Well, I guess I can't speak for everyone, but people seem to enjoy a game with a bit of their own personality. That's why people make skins/choose some and use them.

Speaking about myself, I enjoy the process of making a new piece of art or wallpaper. Seeing the final result is nice, but not as half as fun as the drawing itself. Same goes for writing and programming.
Also, it helps tp bypass boreness.

Okay, we have to discuss something. You guys only use Paint for skins/sprites right? But why me? I cannot make good skins with paint. Teach me what to do in paint, so I know what is wrong with my files (Those aren't uploaded yet because I know It sucks.).

I use Paint.Net, but to be truly good at drawing you need to practice - Skills don't magically appear because you use a more complex multimedia package, you need to learn how to use the programs, and first and foremost you have to be good at drawing.
I started drawing at around 1-2 years of age - My mum noticed that I was scribbling on things with a stray pencil when I was young, and so she gave me paper, and I just learned how to draw from there.

I prefer drawing on paper, the pencil feels better than the mouse.

I do recommend gimp though.

Yeah, it is but I prefer the good ol' pixel-by-pixel MS Paint.
It's soo simple and too bad it has it's own limitation

DRAWING PADS SUCK.

I once used one. 'Tried to make a straight line; trial, error, trial, error.

Poorly there is a hole the size of a drawing path in my old monitor now.

You don't seem to ever have had a decent Drawing Pad before. I have one, and with the right programs you can do things you could never imagine doing with a mouse.
The only thing that beats Drawing Pads are good Touchscreens.
