classic 1.6 is better than source or anything, really, thanks to the simplity of the goldsrc, it means no stupid shit like trick grenades or launching yourself with corpses

For me the best counter strike is condition zero, because It's balanced, a bit good graphics and less laggy; source is laggy because It has a very good grahpics and 1.6 has a shit grahpics, so CS:CZ is the best

Think about it CS 1.6 was great because it was still made in part by the original dev team who made the mod version. The same thing apply for DOD 1.6 as well.
Now look at the source versions of both games made by Valve. Yes they are on brand new engines but they cut out so many features of the originals that they more or less killed the games. Valve does this for the sake of profit so any games that are developed from mods are inevitably fucked up in the long run.
CS 1.6 had no retarded moving hit boxes a decent reg system, weapons were not over balanced, and oh we still had a tactical fucking shield as well as more fun game modes like assassination and escape.
And don't get me wrong CS 1.6 was even supposed to have more than that but again Valve cut so many things out like the Molotov, machete, tear gas grenade, gas mask, M60 MG and so much more.
Moral of the story any game that valve makes is always fucked up for the sake of profit.
What we need to do as a mod community is create our own source version of counter strike as it should have been and even expand upon it with new features that are contemporary if not better than those seen in existing games.
Just my 2 cents but yea CS GO is giving me so many bad vibes so far and trust me I hope im wrong about that.
CSGO should follow the concept of cs1.6/source so just give it a chance, it might be what you expect or not have expected. Apache uwu: CS 1.6 and Source were kick ass graphics for their day >> Its not really fair nor logical to compare games graphically when they are made years apart.
Not to mention the old Gold Source engine and be modified and upgraded to even contemporary standards or better as shown in great mods like Paranoia and Cry of Fear.
