if it's REALLY slow than it can affect the rate at which it's able to send & receive packets.

Mr obvious talking..

----

Dude, almost every single server on the serverlist has <50 ping for me.

Right, so, if it applies to you, it must apply to him aswell! Distance from the server affects ping, and I'm quite sure you don't live in the same house.
Anyway, ping and bandwith are, of course, different things. Getting an IS with a lot of one doesn't necessarily provide the other.

Speed of your internet connection != the speed of light, darek. Electricity travels at a fixed rate ( speed of light ), so ping doesn't change if you have a 4Mb/s line or a 385Kb/s like. However, ping does change if your internet connection isn't shaped.

Buy the fastest internet available to you from any known ISP (Internet Service Provider) near your area and your problem will vanish! Good luck.

Also be sure to buy a Quad-Core PC, I only got a Dual-Core but still I can play most games without lagging much.

Hey, my ping for me when I usually play is about 300-400, on a 40.0KB/s but when I'm at my Dad's I get about 30-100 ping at a connection of 16 Mbps (Megabits per second.) So yeah, I don't know.

The latter has nothing to do with ping - assuming that the games RUN.

All you need is a good internet connection, as said numerous times before. No UltraMegaGameOptiSpeed will help, nor do your computer specs have anything to do with your ping. I, for example, have 8 Mbit/s and the highest ping I ever had was like 500 on a Brazilian server (I'm in Ukraine, do the math), in the rest of cases it's 20 to 100.

the internet connection is of course the most important thing but a very old and crappy PC can increase your ping as well because it might not be able to handle incoming messages fast enough. it won't matter in most cases though.

HI!
I get sick from kicking me out in the ROOM because of HIGH ping! If someone could tell how to reduce it!?

Most people recomend you to buy new internet. I undestand you might not have enough finance or time to buy new one so i got soltion for this.

Type in www.google.com, sk, cz, hu, uk, ru, tk, what ever. Also make sure its not goggle.com

type in game booster.

First site, download, install. Run the program press "switch to game mode" turn on CS2D and enjoy. You also can configure which programs you want to keep on.

If it doesnt work, then PM me. There is other way to make it work but its not totaly legal.

Eh, processor has nothing to do with internet connection unless your PC laggs like hell or takes too much performance. Also you need more then good processor to run game without "lagging". I got dual core and run most of the games on high graphic settings. I play gta 4 on high saints row the third on medium high and skyrim on high. I play most of the new games on high or medium settings without having quad core processor.

Maybe upgrading your GPU, ram,
                    &
           updating drivers

will fix your problems.

that only reduces FPS lag but not the ping. you need to get a better connection.
are you using wlan?
are you downloading something while playing?

also make sure you close all other programs.
