Dehydration killed her, but then if she is REALLY tired won't she stop to rest for a while or something? She's a 9 year old, not some hardcore athlete than goes on a marathon everyday. I still don't get why she is so obedient to run 3 hours straight just because her grandma says so.

Death because of running O_o? It's retarded.

It's not retarded, i can run 1 hour non-stop and it's kind of tiring, i'm 15 and i make exercises often. How can a 9 years old girl run 3 hours non-stop without collapsing or dehydrate?

Yeah, my bad
Very very very awful parents.

wow that is awful! however I can't see how your body wouldn't just stop itself for protection

I was just thinking about that.
Usually she would not be able to handle and stop running, or in extreme cases dismay. It's quite unusual to die by overwhelming your limits since the body as you said would stop itself for protection.

she is a child so not all organs and senses are completely developed, so that protection might haven't been developed yet

Maybe she had a disease that made it worse and caused her death.
anyways
People are getting worse i mean if this happened 10 years ago
people's reaction of her death wouldn't be like that
now some people are even trying to make excuses for the parents.
also this step mother could have been trying to kill her somehow,i won't be surprised if that came from her real mother, how about a step mother.
will this world ever get better?!

it's like dying by holding your breath, extremely difficult and requires A LOT of willpower

You pass out if you hold your breath for to long.

yeah, then you start breathing it's involuntary, I would say the same for running for a long period, your body takes over and forces you to stop

Maybe the child was an expert of the human body and knew how to control it that's why she could go past her limits. But due to her tiredness she lost control of herself and died. Or am I talking non sense?

Actually, a child would be less willing to push themselves.

Think of it this way: Adults can control their body such as bladder control, staying awake, etc--however a child would piss their pants, go to sleep, etc. So it's hard to believe she pushed herself this hard.
