Hi. This should be a Topic for cs2d weapons balance.

I will start this with one experiment.
Called Weapon Test Tunnel (WTT).

Ok first I want to apply to the poor smg's with bad accuracy and small damage. That could really get a small boost of RoF or Dmg. That are the ump tmp mp5 mac10 (only not p90 its useful)

One user made a post that made me think.
He said mp5+vest/helm(2500$) is same powerful as ak47 (2500$)

So I wanted to knew is it balanced and who would win if not?

True -- but that requires one player greatly outplaying the other .. that win would happen with almost any loadout. I think the more interesting situations for balance to look at is where someone outplays the other and loses. I.E. Dude with MP5 and vest hides in tree and waits till the AK47 is close and then jumps out guns blazing but still loses. I'd say those are the most informing situations in terms of balance.

Good test m8 you should make a video of that comparing the weapons to each other and then finely to the CS1.6 weapons they are based off of.

What we need to do and I hope DC will go along with it is make a closed beta with about 10-20 dedicated testers work on balancing the weapons by giving feedback to DC.

Weather it be weapon behavior or new features we could help him find and eliminate a good deal of the possible problems that may occur from the new changes to the game.

But hey again that would depend on weather or not DC will actually overhaul CS2D anytime in the future

And I really mean overhaul the game needs loads of work before it can reach its true potential ...

However even with matched skill levels it really depends on the map design and layout much more so than the weapons themselves.

Since it is not possible to have an approach point that is fair to all weapons it's not fair to compare them in this sense. You're only comparing damage and that really doesn't make the weapon better.

When you use mp5 you should never go into straight tunnel lol. Mp5 has an advantage of having higher accuracy, thus player should use it in long distance rather than short. If you will make a test when each players half body is covered with a wall and they would stay on the edge of the visible screen then mp5 will always win.

PS you cannot make my test with bots, because bots cannot stay covered. You need 2 computers on lan to make it fair

will given the AKs really wide arc or fire in that tunnel half of its shots are hitting the dam wall while the MP5 isn't its a fair comparison ... I just made the same test the result were the same at both close and long range.

Ok so here I am going to explain my point. This weapons are balanced when used with cover. On the next picture you will see that those weapons are almost balanced. I replicated the cover environment and put 2 bots with 'professional' skills.

As you can see they have almost same score 11:9 (AK won), and everytime someone won he had less than 40 hp remaining, which means that battle was balanced.

I said that. I know this because it isn't a rare choice of weapon for me when I play 1x1 battles (however a few month pass since my last one). MP5 is good when you have cover, so you have to use it in more defensive way rather than fighting in a straight tunnel. Thus a guy with mp5 has a fair chance to win if he is going to keep the distance from his enemy.
