Why should we (people working on CS2D updates) invest time to re-do something that works just fine with already existing Lua scripts?

We prefer to focus on things which are not easily possible with Lua. It makes a lot more sense to work on these things because stuff which can be done in Lua.. well.. could just be done in Lua

And if we're talking about a cross-server player level feature here: That has been suggested several times already and declined. Reason: Too easy to manipulate with cheating and hacking. We don't have the required man-power to run a fair environment for such a level/ranking system. (still something like this could probably also be done in Lua)

The level up "thing" can break or changing the gameplay.It not had great idea by simply,level up.

Also, remember cs2d is fast paced not RPG type game,it kinda ridiculous to add level up on these fast paced games,unless you want to.

You can change it to different weapons muzzleflash sprites like this

, and you can reduce its size if weapon using silencer/suppressor/muzzle brake/recoil compensator, and change its location to top center of image weapon skin, and move gun smoke effect there too.

Add shadows based on skins instead using shadow.bmp

Frankly - if it is "Counter-Strike" then it should be similar to original, but at this moment there are long-standing problems with game balance and economy. It differs from original.
Many users(mappers, modders) try to make remakes of original maps, but existing tile system does not allow it to be done properly.
Also, there are remakes of scripts too that also try to replicate some systems from original original(like dead bodies, head shots, shooting through walls and so on).
So many things need to be improved and lead to similar parameters as it is in original.
I'm not talking about complete cloning of Counter-Strike game - no, top view is quite original, unique and unusual, but! If game have a similar name then it should have similar gameplay parameters, and this requires same balanced gameplay.
For example, despite recent changes, I would still pay attention to shooting and aiming. Especially in connection with appearing differences available in different screen resolutions.

Top down view have specific gameplay, in order to achieve a better balance and exclusion of case, I would suggest slightly changing shooting and sighting system. In particular, remember ballistic flight trajectory of bullet.

More than this I would suggest idea for scope view - as you remember in CS 1.6 scope change player view same as in real - it change player position to more closer to aim point. It can be done in cs2d in same way - just need to move player "camera" in player look direction and limit look distance and angle.

At this moment parallax work good but there is problem with image mode. It cant be changed after image create.

We have several situations of Disconnection (due to internet problems) over matches and we only have 30 secs freezetime.
Which is the only "pause system" we have.
Let it be, 2 or 3 min max.

Or maybe make an ingame pause system.
Save the rounds of each team + the money of each player of the team. Not too much science but There's no current lua for that.

Something very interesting:
-Add molotov as buyable. BUT make it modificable.
Damage on impact should be much lower.
And Damage on area/persistent.. i mean its "DPS(damage per second) should be higher.
Its $$ should be thought, but ofc much more than HE (maybe 500/700)

Ok since the new 3d update came out and people giving great ideas, i suggest to edit players height and give them a proper legs because it doesn't look good compare to the tiles.

The weapon sprite depth is higher than 3D walls so you can see it.The sprite depth suppose to be higher than player sprite.Make the 3d wall higher than the weapon sprite.
Also I wanna see reflection on water type tiles.(inspired by new player shadow)
