And one more bug, I seem to have lost a bucket when adding fertilizer to grains. Only happened once though and never again after that.

Make that 4 times. Now I'm losing a bucket every time and have to make another one.

Hard drive crash is painful, yup. We all know that. Really painful! Oh, yeah JJ all unit in this game have the same hit box (the white sphere when in debug mode) but all unit in the original SII have a balanced size, but the whale is big and it's hitbox is small so that's why we always miss. Perhaps you should increase the hitbox size somehow.

Hi. This is my first post.
May I just say first off, thank you for an incredible mod to a one of a kind game.
Now down to business:
I noticed a bug when smelting gold into coins. After you've selected the action to make a nugget into 2 coins 3 times(the max an anvil can hold) any subsequent clicks will earn you more nuggets. You can do this until you reach encumberance. It's a nice little exploit but a bug none-the-less.
Also if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

I'm very intersted in learning to mod this game and was wondering if it would be possible to create a custom building system. Such as placing posts and then attaching planks, doors, windows, stairs, etc. Much the same way as attaching a tree house to the proper tree.

Anyway, thanks again for all the work you've done and continue to do.

Yeah, Jsc, the building thing is much the same like the one in SII extensions mod. You could download it and learn ot from there... And JJ, you can at least release a bug fix, for now. Waiting for a new feature and bug fix altogether will be too long.

jsc0t,
yes the gold bug is being fixed...thank you for your feed back. There is a build system in another mod as you described. I had not considered making this mod build the same way because the time required to build in such a way would unbalance most everything else in the game...I have made it a challenge to stay alive as you progress in this mod, if I change to such a building system everything else would have to be adjusted around that...example:

Currently if your struggling to build a hut, and I break it into stages and separated materials it would take to long to acquire and build... and you would probably die before you finished it.

and yes guys...I will finish the bug fixes and post an update for bug fixes...then Ill finish adding the news stuff that was lost in the crash, with a follow up post. Thank you guys for being patient. I stuff some hours into to this for the next few days...see what I can get done.

I always try to add something that the players will notice during gameplay, but with just bug fixes the update wont seem very "new" to the player....i mean, you might not 'feel" like its a new update, until you make a bucket or find the gold bug is fixed. So, let me see what I can get done/added and I will post what I have by this next weekend.

firefly,
hmm...interesting, I will take a look and review the "collision" settings for items and objects, that would be exactly why the whale is hard to kill. Also why it might be hard to hit the cotton bush in the right "spot".

ty...good input!

Custom buildings would be awesome! One could start with the boardwall as a base and go from there. Basic furniture would be a plus as well. I noticed that there are codes for things like a desk and a table but I can't figure out how to unlock them. I thought maybe they were just incomplete but now I'm wondering if it might be me because I can't seem to get the monkey school to unlock either and I know it's there.

some of those items are incomplete yes. You should train a monkey first by throwing him bananas first then the school should unlock to be built.

I have some more content that will be added as I get closer to the end game coding...but I doubt I will change the building system, other then making it more user friendly, such as crafting the faster hammers to allow less tedious hammering to use the required items. I will likely have some 3-5 more building models to add more diversity to camps/forts, if it goes well a few more buildable objects as well.

JJ, if it is possible, could you implement 'item durability' like Minecraft, and not randomly? After a certain use of tool, it will break, that way, we know when it will break, it is painful to have 3 rod broken within 10 uses! Besides, it is more precise that way.

1. I wouldn't reinvent the wheel for the sake of buildings. Besides, as it is, you can get creative and create compounds, nothing fancy, but my point is that the buildings do not need to be standalone, you can build shit next to it, under, in top of it, etc.

2. As to durability, I disagree. I rather prefer at random. It is more real like that. Besides, how many tools are you breaking dude? maybe you should upgrade.

I disagree with item durability as well, but I do think at least the fishing rod's break rate should be lowered. Better yet, why not allow construction of bendable branches with salt-water?

Cause in saltwater is SALT... Salt is making things UNbendable..., sou I think, it is logic, that that is possible only with sweatwater.
BUT!
If there is the need, to have FIRE and Water, that it could be any water (it works like this - you are boiling water, and it steams makes the stick (branch) bendable...

Ohhhh ok. Didn't know that. Perhaps using the still, then, or some other steaming setup that could hopefully be done early game.

very sorry i missed your post. Sometimes it gets late at night when im working on the computer and i just over-looked it.

The Y stick is no longer in MM...now you will use a shovel to "prospect" the ground for water/underground springs.

Check the "Guide" in the download...look under "Shovel".

I will be adjusting the broken bendable when fishing...lower. I think the steam from the distiller would work to make bendable branches though...good idea...as the salt would remain in the distiller while the steam (water) would rise. Maybe I could make it so that when your next to a distiller you can make a branch bendable.

The salt would only affect the process if you where actually putting the stick in the boiling salt water. If you boil a pot of salt water, the water turns to steam, and there is only salt left behind.

By the way... A lot of peoples use the Y formed stick, to find the underground water spring... So in reality you can bring it back, cause it is realistic
If you don't believe, then google about it...
(I think that it was added up, after my comment about some "real life" ways how to find the underground springs :p )
