That's not free music as it is registered music used in Halo.

And concerning the dimensions of the video, noone can do a 640x480 video considering that YouTube automatically letterboxes non 16:9 format videos.

It would be much preferred that we were not restricted to 640x480 as the dimensions to make the video (which by the way really makes it look quite unprofessional and as a result we will get a lot of machinima newbies pasting just straight rips of game footage rather than giving the footage some flare)

Of course you don't have to use the same music let alone the same genre. Just try to not have straight gameplay footage because those are boring.

Here's a tip, game trailers need actual in game sounds. It would otherwise be retarded 90% of the time. The background music should be dull (depending on the game - yes cs2d is quite dull), killing people's ears off won't leave much of an impression.

I'm working on a trailer aswell;

- Emphasis on modding
- Either DnB or epic violin music (or Gramatik)
- Features a lot of mods for some seconds (Space mod, superhero mod)
- Features a lot of usermade maps and skins

what? it does not consumes a lot of ram, but a lot of hdd space when filming. Thats because of codec which dont uses compression.
