I will try not to be "100%" hard/rawstyle, it's music only for people that can understand it

You've got to have balls to say that in the face of someone who has an actual music education.

I like a wide variety of electric music artists and genres (except for dubstep) so my list is quite big.
That's why I've narrowed it down to 1 song per artist.

And apparently you have lots of brains, don't you?
I wasn't saying you wouldn't understand it musically, I was saying most people don't understand it as a lifestyle, you know, the whole thing behind hardstyle.
It's all kick and (ought reversed) bass, with screeches and usually at 150 bpm - that any musical student may know, but you will never understand it truly because you're not a fan and I really don't care.

Calm your music expert tits, both of you. Music is supposed to bring satisfaction not puberty driven arguments. Obviously @user palomino: wanted everyone to know that he is superior when it comes to music knowledge. You don't have to give a shit.

I have to agree with @user Time:

@ deathmask: The hardstyle culture loooks a lot like 90's rave culture. It's just that rave was about fun and happiness and hardstyle looks and sounds grim and depressive.

This only proves @user medeiros:'s point, you don't have to comment if you don't like it.

@user palomino: You do what? The reason I'm pointing out that it's clear that you do not understand hardstyle is that since people tend to reject or consider anything they don't understand as weird, abnormal, or ect. You consider it weird because you don't understand how people can consider it a genera/lifestyle.
BTW, I'm neutral here, I've never actually listened to hardstyle, nor did I know that a lifestyle existed behind it.

@user palomino: I dont like hardstyle too, but i think it's childish to say "i do if I can't understand how this can be called music" people have tastes, if you dont like other's tastes it's your problem, respect his tastes.

You make a thread about electronic music, so it's obvious people are going to post their favourite electronic genres in it. It's all about free speech.
Now saying it's not music because you don't like it, it is as low as it gets. I pretty much hate pop and dislike dubstep, but I'm not making threads about music saying "don't put pop and dubstep because they're not music".
When you said "refrain from posting hardstyle, only if necessary", I posted a melodic hardstyle track, because I understand most people don't like it, but you still go on...

Hardstyle descends from hard trance and hardcore gabber. Hardcore/gabber comes from early rave, that's why you see some similarities, but it evolved. You said "depressing and grim". What the fuck? You probably heard only one hardstyle track and you're describing the whole genre.

Check this out:

Wildstylez - Timeless (I sent link)
Does it look depressing? That melody with euphoria is depressing?!

Now some dark stuff:
Luna & E-Force - Dark Emotions
That's "rawstyle" (sub-genre), my favourite one. It descends from "early hardstyle", just faster (early was 140 bpm, this one is 150 bpm) and uses high pitched kicks instead of reversed bass.

I'm not asking you to like it, I'm asking you to respect who likes it and the underground culture surrounding.

Read what user Time and user Aura said.

If you're going to make a thread about opinions (in this case, about the various styles of electronic music), expect people to put in stuff you don't like but others do.
Is it bothering you? Scroll down if you see tracks you dislike. Simple.

------
@user Aura: that mix starts perfectly, Astral by Noisecontrollers has an excellent melody at middle. I fuckin' eargasmed.

You will grow older and understand that we are all different, eventually.

I'm not a big fan of hardstyle either, but I would never say that it's bullshit. That's just retarded. It may in fact be my loss that I cannot understand (or I don't have to patience to do so) this particular style of music.

Saying that something is bad just because you don't like it... why not just say:

"Hello, my name is Sunny, and I am an ignorant."

What's even worse is that he said he wasn't music... at all... that's just pure stupidity, just because he doesn't like it...
