Hello folks, things got messed up. I got really bad problem. I had updated CS2D and I'm not able to connect it to my USGN anymore. Here is the same problem, spare me of writing it again please:

First of all, I tried EVERYTHING which I have found at FAQ. I haven't found useful solution reading other posts. Yes, old version of client worked normally for me, but there is no more old versions of CS2D, because its just updated. I think something wrong in the game itself.
(just a silly guessing of user who does not understand anything in programming: It worked when I had expanded packs of fonts for windows (like arabic, german, brasilian etc) but now I reinstalled windows and the only difference is that I have no german,arabic etc letters. Does it matter anything?) DC Admin

Nothing related to this has been changed in the new version and also the login works for the great majority of all CS2D players. It's definitely NOT caused by the update.
There are only two possible scenarios:
This problem is caused by special conditions which are only present on very few systems. I don't know which software/hardware/whatever is causing this problem then.
Something is done wrong by users (possible solutions covered in F.A.Q.). E.g.: wrong firewall settings.
Wait a moment... you reinstalled your complete system and it stopped working after that and now you are blaming the update? ... Probably just a firewall blocking or something like that. Fonts shouldn't cause any change.
Oh... and thank you too! For hating the update! 
uh, its not actually caused by update. I had same problem in previous version. I'll try to explain but perhaps it sounds silly:
When 1.2.2 was released, I updated the game, it worked well. After ~half of year I reinstalled CS2D using installation file downloaded from this site, and I faced this bug. I haven't found way to fix it. So I started to use already installed version 1.2.2 which I borrowed from my friend. Now new version has been released and I faced this bug again. DC Admin Offline
Must be something in the settings of the games then (unless he has a strange modified/hacked version). Uh, well. Perhaps In some day I'll find the solution. Anyway, thanks for responding *~* Uh, I replaced my usgn_pw.dat with the one from old version, and it's working! At last, this problem is solved *~* Thanks guys for helping me, and useigor, you're genius
