Is there any way to fix this mouse lag? Every time I move my mouse when I am playing CS2D or using the Editor it will cause a 1 second lag delay and I can't concentrate while playing. Please help me fix this problem.

NOTE: I am using IBM ThinkPad

First check if it really is just the pointer "lagging" or if the fps amount (top left corner) drops down. If your frames per seconds are droped for a massive amount in a short period it will just look like it freezes. If its the pointer only you might have a shitty mouse or any software related problems.

Solution for fps drops:
-if the lightengine is enabled set it off
-if you disabled the light already and you still have the problem lower the main graphicsetting
-if its better now but not perfect try to disable the visible bullets option and also other gfx related settings.

Solution for the mouse:
-if you have another one try to use it instead.
-if this doesnt help try to switch to usb mouse when you didnt use it before.
-if both didnt helped you need to reinstall your motherboard drivers (preferably even the whole system)

You still didn't answer user GeoB99 question: Are you using the touchpad or did you connect a mouse? CS2D is pretty unplayable with a touchpad so you should really try a mouse. This doesn't explain the lag though. It must be some kind of driver problem.

@user DC: I know that touchpad is pretty hard to play games like CS2D.

I have just asked a question if he use touchpad or mouse.

If he use mouse then like you said is a problem of driver mouse or he might have a bad mouse.

However, thanks that you corrected me DC.

@user GeoB99: I know and I actually didn't correct you (there was nothing to correct) I basically just told user Archers24 that he should answer your question and that using a touchpad to play CS2D is a bad idea

@user SmD: I agree... every game which can't be controlled with keys only and were fast reaction and time is important shouldn't be played with a touchpad... but that's another (Off-Topic) discussion.

@user GeoB99:
Nope. Its not just about the mousedriver then. Most mouses wont need be to installed manually as the OS supports most mouses, but it could be a problem about the motherboards driver because the motherboard manages all the ports, also the ps/2 port which is the one for the mouse when its not an usb mouse. So wether the port is broken or the motherboard doesnt work as it should. Thats why i gave possible solutions/diagnosepossibilities. if the board driver needs to be reinstalled he will see if he connects another mouse to the port. If the port is broken he will see if he connects his current mouse to another pc(when it works fine the mouse will be okay) but if the other mouse he connected to his pc doesnt work its probably the board or the port. So the first step is reinstalling its driver, if the problem still exists the next step will be reinstalling/refreshing the os because the integrated mousedriver might be damaged. If both wont help you can make sure that the port is broken so you will have to use a usb mouse or repair it.
