== 07.01.2017 Update ==

It's been a few weeks since our last update and we got a bunch of stuff going so we can get properly going now that we've all had our Christmas and new Year and whatever.

Our first new feature is map loading and changing - though not entirely bug free (as I noticed reviewing the new video).

• The Features •

∗ remake using Unity3D
∗ Map loading - load old maps or use the new map format provided
∗ Lua script support - scriptable weapons, NPCs, Map Entities and backward compatibility
∗ High Resolution support - suppports high resolution skins, sprites and tilesets
∗ Awesome light engine - thanks to user Starkkz

Unity has a 2D as well as a 3D physics engine and thus supports both types of games.
Blitzmax has many limitations compared to Unity and it is a very old and not quite as efficient game engine. Since we want to create something modern and easily moddable that can be used for many years to come, Unity3D was the game engine of our choosing.

We will post images and videos as soon as there is something to show - so far we don't really have anything to show.
I don't expect anything worth a video being released this year, so possibly we will be able to show something more in early 2017

Will there be a possibility for those who are willing to help with the project to join the team or the team list is final?

P.S: If user DC agrees, I will pin this thread so people can access the latest news easily.

It is not planned to add further developers to the team at the moment, however this might change in the future. If you are interested just stay tuned and we will announce anything here

The discussion once came up and the idea is to have specific parts open source so people can improve gameplay. This may change later in development so don't hold my word for it, but I assume there should be nothing wrong with this idea.

would be nice if add a timer of all the TIME PLAYED and ranks like csgo, and stop the think of " this is cs 1.6 " cos all these old things not works for become new players to cs2d... anyways just its a idea
