I spent some time trying to create sprites with smooth, black outline like user smn but i dunno how. The one I created still looks jagged and pixelated. Any suggestion how?

Do you think this is good?

Those sprites are actually 32-bpp bitmaps, ie. they have an alpha channel for transparency. If you want to make sprites with a smooth outline like that you should use an image editing program better than mspaint. For example: paint.net, gimp or photoshop
