I need an anti cheat code for an island already in the production. I couldn't find anything on unrealsoftware search or the code command list. Thanks

I'm not sure if there's a way to disable cheats, but I don't think there is one. I would also suggest that you first finish the map all in all before you try to disable the cheats - you can use them to test your map.

Even if you really are able to disable the cheats there are still many ways to cheat. You could give yourself items with a program like Cheat Engine, you could circumvent the password protection of the map and just change stuff, ...

Confirmed. There is no way to block cheats in the original version of the game without recompiling it / hacking the binary.

Of course I know how to do that. I made that game
Get the code and Blitz3D. Remove the cheat part in the source code. Compile. Profit.

It's certainly also possible to modify the binary without recompiling e.g. you could search for the cheat strings and find the right part that way. The easiest approach would probably even be to just change the cheat command strings to some random letters so nobody knows what to enter.

But.. is it worth the effort? Personally I would just ignore the cheats. You have to be aware that people can cheat anyway even when you manage to disable the built in cheats. It's always possible to just change values in the memory of a running program and it's even easier if it's single player without an authoritative remote server which checks the values.

Is that just removing the cheat possibility completely, or making it possible to disable it, because I only want no cheats on one island. P.s. What is s2 programmed with. I'm planning on learning programming, and I wan't to program stranded II. Then by the time S3 comes out I'll have enough skill to program it. Thanks

Disabling it just for one map is quite a bit harder then just disabling it fully. You would have to change the program itself and write some kind of optional map setting to disable cheats. I really suggest: first finish your map and THEN think about things like cheats.

Ok. Maybe I could find a way to copy/paste titanium's source code. btw I'm starting totorials for blitz basic online, because I assume that's what s2 source code is programmed in.
btw I don't know exactly where the source code on titanium is that would allow me to do that. Help please?

There is no source for it, i was searching it by myself too. McLeaf need to release it or you need to ask him if he will post it and get permission to use it

not a programmer, at least not since the 80's, but it sends up red flags to me that you want to make something so bad and hard that you don't want anyone to be able to cheat. IF they even THINK about cheating, that means YOU are doing something very wrong. also, who is gonna play something that is so hard or bad that you had to disable cheats?. lol

lol no way. It just kind of ruins the game when you can cheat. It would be cooler that way. Also, after you win you can get the password to the map and do whatever you want.
