- Obstacle course

NEW ITEMS

- A multi tool, right click to change function.
- Able to catch fireflies in a jar and it makes a lantern. Combine with a branch to give
greater range (w/e)
- Add space blankets, flashlighs, batterys, lighters, matches.
- Blow pipe. Made from bamboo. Fires either bamboo shards or ones with poison.
- Can find potatoes whilst digging.
- More fruit:- Apples, peaches, mellons, strawberries, oranges, limes, lemons, bannanas.
- Combine milk and lemon to get sour milk.
- Bamboo Cups
- Cocanut shells. Use hammer on coconut to get milk and husk (in a cocnut shell) x2
- Eggs.
- Spears now require a sharpened stone (stone+hammer)
- Bark + Branch= 30% success.
- Bark + Branch + Cotton strand=60% chance success.
- Bark + Branch + Cotton strand + Sand 80%
- Sugar canes give sugar.
- Twigs come of trees. Use an axe/machete with branch to get 10 twigs.
- Use cotton to either make cord or rip into strands. 1 cotton= 3 cotton strands.
- Coffee beans can be combined with hot water and milk to make coffee. Add sugar for more energy.
- Handgun, Shotgun, Lever Action Rifle, Explosives.
- Ammo for firearms, shotgun has several (normal, explosive, incediary, heavy duty etc.)
- Eggs from Kiwi corpses, kiwi nests, randomly lying about and from a kiwi breeding.
- Can boil water in bamboo to get hot water.
- Hot choclate from hot water, cocoa dust, milk.
- Jam can be made from strawberries etc. Combine with stone to make it. Add sugar
- Churn milk to make cream. Churn cream to make cheese.
- Paralyzation potion.
- Lettuce and cabbages.
- Various types of stew (meat, fish)
- More types of meat.
- Bamboo used for more stuff.
- Bamboo is replantable.
- Planting brown mushroom makes the mushroom rot into moss. Moss grows up. Moss makes snail and brown mushrooms.
- Red mushroom planted, moss makes red mushroom and small critter.
- Works for all mushrooms, each makes moss that produes it own thing.
- Matches, use one to light a fire, one use only. 75% chance success.
- Lighter, runs out of fuel eventually, but is 95% fire light.
- Bone club
- Pistashios etc.
- Bloodleaf (3) and stone makes paint.



Coconut.
Use hammer and coconut.
Get milk in husk.x2
Drink to leave meat in a coconut
Eat to get left with bowl




NEW UNITS

- Horses tamable and ridable with grain. Can create a sadle pack and upgrade horse with animal school (monkey school become animal school, and you can train various animals.
- Sheep can be 'used' to get milk.
- Lions are weaker and more common. They stick in prides (packs)
- Tiger is a new unit, travels alone and is very strong. Average sightings.
- Raptors, powerful, stronger, faster, scarier. Rare.
- T-rex, ultra strong, fast etc. Very rare, scary. Gives lots of stuff.

- Sugar Cane
- Bramble bushes that harm you upon passing.
- Salt rocks, mine to obtain a block of salt.

NEW BUILDINGS

- Add a hammock (Lots of cord, some branches)
- Inflatble raft (Same principle as a tent, you need the raft to activate it)
- Fireplace now needs one cotton and 10 twigs, as well as rocks and branches.
- Better tree house w/ roof and storage tote.
- Crate- smaller stoarge, buildable instantly. (25,000g)
- Flag can be made from paint(1), logs(2), cord (2) and skins(4)
- Distiller is built on water and produces 1 water and 1 salt per day.
- Crusher can squish berries etc at a lower cost (15 for juice, instead of 30)








NEW FEATURES

- When you get tired you begin to go dizzy. Starts only when the purple bar is full.
- Sleeping with out shelter loses 33% health per night.
- Hunger= 5Days before death.
- Thrist= 3Days before death.
- Tools may break from over use.
- Food may eventually go mouldy unless cooked. If you eat mouldy food you become poiosened.
- When in a shelter it stops the rain animation where you are.
- Most tools now require vines/cord to make.
- Vine frequency increased.
- Traps that can be baited.
- If possible a fully function eco system- lions may kill kiwis and take the meat. Kiwis may scavenge berries from bush.
- Random events and natural occureneces. (box with item wash up on shore)
- Poison bottle is throwable to cause damage and poison.
- Eating large meat produces bone.
- When you build flag it makes a supply drop of special items (matches, chocolate, guns) appear near flag.




The story starts that you are out on a cruise ship heading towards 'Paradise Island'. Unfortunatly the ship crashes and you are washed up on a mysterious island.


Story

Intro - The cruise ship boat cruises along and then hits a rock and crahses

Island 1 - Medium island- Gives you basic training, and later basic equipment. you eventually find a crate, along with a life boat+corpses, with lots of equipment including an inflatable raft.

Island 2 - Huge island- The main (hidden) objective on this island is to find a map of the surrounding islands. Could be hidden in some sort of base, possibly with a dead 'cast away'. You find a sailraft with another corpse and you escape to 3rd island.

Island 3 - Small island- You meet with a few of the survivors, but they dislike you and shoot at you. You must find a way around them to get to the boat. You recognized one as a stoner who was on the ship. Use lots of hemp to get around him. Hemp near lions/hard to get.

Island 4 - Medium island- Sail boat crashes, leaving you on another island. This island is very spartan, little food, no spawn points. A pirate comes and gives you a mini quest, then he takes you to island 5.

Island 5 - Huge island- Lots of time spent here.

Island 6 - Small island- pirate comes again and tricks you into fully suppling his ship, he then leaves.

Island 7 - Huge island- You have to find a way to get off it and get to paradise island.

Island 8 - Medium island- Get to an empty paradise island- lots of corpses all over.

I'm making this mod now (well, trying...) so these ideas will be incoperated into the mod.

I'd propose a swiss army knife.
Knife: has a very high chance to obtain leaves
Saw: has a very high chance to obtain branches
Magnifier: lights things (only works around noon and when it doesn't rain)

Can be filled up with water at a well etc.
Reason: With lots of fountains it becomes easy to survive nomadically. I suggest less fountains and more bladders to stock up on water.
I though of it in history (were doing the Plains Indians)

It's related to fatigue, but kinda different.
Fatigue just increases, but this reduces when staying.

Increase high = swimming,jumping
Increase low = walking, attacking, using items,building, holding items more than 6000g
Decrease = stand, or sleep

when it became 100, process for 5 seconds.

This is what we usually say "cool time"

I don't think there's a way to add more bars on the HUD, so I don't know how I would add a visual indication for it. Also having a process start when it gets to 100 would get annoying, maybe just walk slow enough that it would be more convenient to stand still and let it decrease, just not necessary.

Of course, not everyone would need or use this anywhere, but it still sounds cool. In fact, there's a semi-dormant volcano in the island I'm making.

You could take a look at my example of a rock shooting volcano in the Extension-Mod... (it's quite simple so you can take a look and maybe copy the script for it)
Unfortunately this f**king forum is actually down, so there seems to be no way to download this (german) mod. I'll try to keep your wish in mind, so I'll post the download link next time. If not, just remember me per PN.

Oh... yes, that was me...!
Actually the developement has been stucked a little bit...
But... It would be no problem to send you an example of for code realizing it. Also you'll need some graphics (for the bar and so on), but this should be no problem.

(so many things to remember yet, I'll have to write it down )

I'm not at home so I'll... wait... I uploaded it somewhere sometime... <searching...> er... what the f**k! Because it wasn't downloaded the last time it has been deleted from rapidshare so you'll have to wait till next week (latest! maybe I already have time to send it you tomorrow).

All I remember is that you'll have to add an additional (transparent) bar in "mods\Stranded II\sys\gfx\if_values.bmp" and also a black graphics for the background (so the bar appears black if it's empty). Therefore you take the changed "if_values.bmp" (with the additional bar) and just paint it black (just changing contrast or brightness) at best.
Then you need the bar itself like "progress_thirst.bmp" (you just need the upper or lower half).
And then you'll have to position all things right... (the "if_values.bmp" is automatically shown in the upper left corner of course, the black background and the bar you'll have to position manually) therefore would the script be useful - and of course some scripting skills (just a little bit). That was something with the "image"-command...I better send you an example till next week.
