I'm sorry if i'm stupid.
Is the link on the front page is the one from where i should download massive mod?
Cause when i press "download now" in file front, it says that something went wrong and i need to try again and if that doesn't work i need to contact with filefront support. And oufcourse it doesn't work. I was wondering, maybe i'm trying the wrong link

I agree with banane. Almost all the english mods so far replace the original S2 folder. I have to make the folder and file myself and that gets annoying.

People are having problems with Filefront - try Megaupload or Hostfil.es

Hello aagain, its Gabe :]

Filefront works, its always the same..you have to try again lots of times.
They do it that way so people subscribe or something, but i downloaded the mod from there succesfully.

My question still remains..
Will the savegames be work on the next version of massive mod?

Thanks, Gabe.

Don't know, although I always recommend restarting after major changes are made. Anyway, I've finished rar'ing the file and am now working on some minor stuff (namely wondering how the fuck you actually make a mod). I'm going to download the S2_Ext mod (Yes, I realize it's German) and see how the folders are arranged because I think that I've misunderstood how this is done.

Anyway, as I said, it's rar'd and ready, expect it sometime this night.

EDIT: Yea, after looking into the specifics of making a mod, I've decided against it. Sorry. I have however included instructions of how to do it yourself *before* you overwrite your Stranded II version with my mod. The information is included within the readme, and I've also included a bat file that should work if you follow the directions exactly.

Okay, nice ! Will be downloading soon. =]

Thanks for the update, can see it was big.

Btw builder, do you use MSN?
I love Stranded, and your mod totally make the game worth playing and replaying, so if we could talk more easily it would be great..
I somehow hate forums. lol

Thanks again, Gabe.

Or you just use Megaupload or Hostfil.es and avoid all this bullshit about end users not being able to download it.

Please don't report any bugs as "extremely obvious" or "should be fixed by the tester guy". Builder will blame me on it (wrongfully) and probably punish me. Painfully.

To make your own mod is simple, just copy the S2 folder and rename it to MM or whatever you want. Then put your files in there.

To open your mod make a file and put
1
2
3
@echo off
start StrandedII.exe -mod MM
exit
in it and save it as a .bat file

Yes, I know how thats done, and I put instructions into the readme that tells everyone else how to do it if they want to. However, I do not like the fact that I'd be forcing everyone to redownload the entire SS2 folder + my mod.

Also, to DC;
That's the new icon for Sadistic Bastard (Light 4 sheep on fire). As you can see I'm using a resized Stranded II fire sprite. Oddly enough I had to hand create the fire on the "greyed out" version because when I removed color the fire went TOTALLY grey, no change in colors across the flame even though its got yellow and orange and red.

I also used the icon for the sheep, made bigger, and then I hand drew the mouth and exclamation mark, before finally adding the charring effect around the flames.

An update on achievements;
There are 4 achievement categories.
//Normal Achievements
These are things like Kiwi Hunter, Lion Wrestler, ect. Just fun things to try and get. They are island based, not global.

//Adventure Achievements:
These are things linked to stuff you do in the adventure, like building your first shelter, unlocking the chest, ect. Island based, not global.

//Meta-Achievements:
These are multi-stage achievements. The most obvious of these are the skill achievements with three levels, such as Farmer I, Farmer II, and Farmer III. However, there are also achievements such as "A Home Away From Home" that has you build a shelter, fire, storage, and stance.

Most meta-achievements will be sculpted so that while you try to unlock them you are furthering your progress in the game. Meta-achievements are island based and not global.

//Global Achievements
This is the big one. These are the achievements that make people say "HOLY SHIT ARE YOU CRAZY"? It's also fitting that these achievements are pretty hard to explain.

Basically, they are global, meaning anything you do on any island at any time in any save effects these achievements. They also have unbelieveable requirements, such as:

Locusts Be Damned, plant 5,000 crops of wheat

You might get that achievement over 30 random islands, however once gotten it is saved forever. The achievements are saved in a dynamically created txt file that will never be overwritten by MM, meaning that you will always have them and your progress towards completing them.

~~~
So to recap, 4 types of achievements.
Ok, i played just a little bit on the random island. I found, that in character cooking skill starts not with capital letter and after i built a wooden storage, i couldn't use it, when i pressed "use" on it, all my items in backpack were grayed out and i couldn't store any, maybe it's because of rain, i don't know. I gonna go play further
Edit: Omg, i am an idiot it's wood storage
