Is there a way, to guide bots through maps? so they dont go directly to their objective otherwise you can always blind fire in one line.

If there isnt somehow waypoints in the game, but per map automatically generated; Would you please add Gen_waypoint or something adequate in next version?

it is true that bots dont move, when you add 20 bots they dont move, you probably add like 8 and yes... they move... and its kinda boring they also walk same way... so easy to track their steps...

I vote for allowing waypoints again, to maximize editor freedom... (you could then actually make bots able for suprise attacks?)

please note that bots have a very low priority on my todo list. I didn't update them since 0.1.0.5 (first max release) as far as I remember.
however you can be sure that I do know that there are some problems and I also know that I still have to improve the bot AI.

my opinion is that waypoints would be a step backward. it's a great feature of cs2d max that you don't need waypoints to play with bots anymore and I also don't want to add a waypoint system again. in fact a waypoint system restricts the routes of bots (yah! more than the current system!). I just need to add some more (maybe random) things to the current bot ai system in order to make their actions and especially paths less predictable.

(additional) solution:
what I could do is adding a new entity like info_bot with different settings which gives the mapper some influence on bots. you could mark important places or alternative routes with these entities [pretty much like waypoints but much better ;)].

Perhaps you could make the radio commands be able to influence the bots somewhat. I remember back in CS1.5, once bot program, ZBot if I remember right, had this.

As in if you say "follow me" in the radio, the bots closest to you would say "affirmative" and actually line up and follow you around.

Good idea?
