How about we convert more maps? I already did de_prodigy. Came out less than I expected due to size problems and placement I did my best though.

I don't think it's 100% possible to take every bit of detail on CS 1.6 maps and put it into 2D. You have to take note to that, for example if you see the door in cs_assault it's a swing-door. You can't make that in 2D yet, I guess we could suggest that I don't know if that will be realised though. But it would be great to have some kind of swing-door that is moving when player walks into it. And the cameras that are player controlled to view some areas. Some entities in CS 1.6 don't entirely exist in CS2D because it might not be possible to put them into CS2D.

A CS 1.6 map of cs_backalley into CS2D max would be great to see, if anyone is having the idea or thought of making that map. Just do it, be creative.

It could be great, it could be bad. The thing is at least you tried, and then we could see whose map is better. I can't map though, since the DirectX thingy in the computer I'm using is messed up. Well, if anyone wants more maps from CS 1.6 we must all give our effort and time... otherwise there will be nothing. And nothing leads to boringness!

I'd have to disagree, alot. I think my map de_nuke_kk was more developed and following the structure of de_nuke much more than armenias map.

I haven't seen Armeniashots in ages anyway. He's probably not a very active mapper at all. He made like 10 maps based on the same map, pretty useless stuff. Nothing new comes from him, he basicly ripped my things and other people's things and made something weird outta it and poisoned some of his maps with a virus of some sort. Also he gave no credits for the things he ripped. I don't want to blame him, but I guess I already did. I hope he becomes a better mapper someday, but I have my doubts...

I'm not much of a converter... I usually just make something new out of nothing, and see what it leads me and what it'll become is mysterious. But I did make that map de_dust_wad for the older CS2D version. I could try a hand at another, I will most likely use the same method I used to convert the wad's to bmp format of the specific map and then just rework it.

it could become bad, it could become good lol. Either way, I'm being optimistic and trying to improve it in anyway I can, and I take suggestions. I'll think about making convertations of random maps from CS 1.6 and bring them to CS2D...
