I have been a big fan of CS2D for very long.
When I was new at map editing,other members teached me what to do.
Now that I am quite experienced,I have written a tutorial for all new members.
Please tell me that if it is bad or not.Thanks.

I have made some maps and when I am saving them, they don't appear in C:\Program Files\Counter Strike 2D\maps\ folder. I named them "DKO Prison", dm_dkoprison, dm_dkoprison.map, fy_dkoprison and cs_dkoprison and I still can't see them. I enabled the hidden files option and still nothing. Can you help me with this? I want to upload them and I can't find them! Are they somewhere else or they don't even save in .map format? Thanks!

You could also tell about these handly little trick like snowy protection, ading briefing to your map,making shaders, how to make day/night effect, how to make sprites, how to make #D effect to sprites, how to use masks etc

png is not good, it takes very long time too load.
The best is that the thumb is a jpg, and the full sized picture is png.

When click on the thumb that is a jpg, it opens a window that have the png in full size.

The map should be in the directory.


Btw, use this images when create more of the tutorial.
Fixed them to .gif.

Did the map format change by some problem/accident?Make sure their format is "(name).map".

ADDS IN YOUR ADVANCED GUIDE:

Now you know how to make doors open and close!Yay!By the way,the tile under the door will be the same when it is opened.


If you make the tile before the Dynamic Wall floor and then make a dynamic wall and use as tile a wall (63) when you open the door the floor will be like the one you set before and when you close it , it will be tile 63(remeber to use 63 as wall!)

What do you think about too add the "mapping guides" at the wiki that unreal software already have?
It's easy and all can change it.
