load map on sever first then load same map via second computer
does that sound right?
if so why cant i connect i just get stuck and the countdown just boot me cuz i cant connet to host

Turn on hamachi;
run server.bat in S2 MP folder;
Your friend(or just other player) must run multiplayer.exe, choose LAN/HAMACHI and enter your hamachi IP(can copy from hamachi: rightclick and "copy address")

We are still working on new website features and a new version of the Multiplayer.
It is a total rewrite of the Multiplayer part, that is why it took that much time, but it's becoming great.

So far we have improved:
>You can play with more than 2 ppl
>No Lobby needed anymore, everything is handled in Stranded
>It will not work via scripts anymore, this results in a few improvements:
•Works on slower PCs
•Easier to implement into mods
•A LOT less bugs

So hope you will like the new version, as it will be the basic for working units

Something that interests me is the "not by script" idea.
Does this mean that S2MP would be able to play with any mod without additional modification? I can imagine a lot of people will be very excited at the idea of playing Massive Mod through Multiplayer.

I'd like to say 90% of the objects of the mods are going to work without any further work, but I can't tell you exactly as we aren't that far yet.
But it's at least going to be a lot less work, and we will hopefully find the time for a good documentation to make implementation easier.

I know i annoy you with this but, in the german thread you wrote, that the new version of the multiplayer maybe came in this month. Can I trust this date or will you need more time to make the new version(if yes how long).

@Bloodshot:
I am sorry that you have to redo that stuff, but I think it will be worth it. As soon as we have a working release our team might help you a bit.
Those custom models will be there again in a later version, but a bit more improved.
