Your processor is pretty good, but dunno about graphics. My graph card also uses 512 MB but if it's not enough it takes memory from a VRAM backup partition that is around 1706 megs.

Well unreal software doesnt really care about your laptop and dont want to care. And make better titles cuz we dont care what lapto you got

My grandmother got 8gb RAM nividia geforce GT 3600 7 core 3ghz processor with c drive 1000gb D drive 1000gb and E drive 1000GB HD and she doesnt bless.

About your PC it doesnt depend on your pc spec it depends on what kind of edition you got:

Home edition = all things what you need at home

Home premium = home, gaming, and video editing.

Home basic = all basic things that PC needs

Well Ultrakiller, i dont know what your problem is but your just talking shit. He just asked for our opinion.
Well, i think your laptop is quite okay, for picture editing there should be no problems at all, video editing should also be fine. I think these thing both dont need such a good computer (except for video if you want it not to be slow) but more the skills from you. Games shouldnt be a problem.. maybe with games which have an exceptional good graphic (crysis...?) but not the newest games should be perfectly fine. You better try out huh, if youre already having your laptop.
Good luck

You got a nice Laptop there sounds like a Toshiba.. ( my mom has the same one but with 2.26 as processor speed)
Processor is i don't know ( 512 MB is real slow but I'm not sure how many processors you have working there.. and how fast is each)
Video card is very good ( there's still better - i think it's enough to play Call Of duty Modern Warfare 2 on it you know what i mean hehe - photo editing programs run on anything BTW, I'm on the crappiest pc in the world and i can run PS CS 4 but my prob is ram...)
Ram is enough for everything ( if it's the Toshiba i was talking about, you can upgrade it to 8GB - TIP: upgrade to 8GB if you can, PS[Photo Shop] CS 5 and the programs coming with it take a hell a lot of ram ; 3 GB might not be enough)

If you're really for picture editing, mac's are the best ( if you don't like the operating system then put win 7 on a mac-book pro ;D) but... They're so expensive...
But not to forget, there's better : The new Vaio's:

i7 Processor with Turbo Boost (8 processors working simultaneously)
640 GB Hard drive
6 GB DDR3 RAM upgradable to 8 GB
1 GB NVIDIA GEFORCE Video Card
Full HD 1920x1080 Resolution (16.4" LCD/LED Monitor)
Blue Ray ROM with DVD Writer
Numeric keypad
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
4 year warranty (with accidental)
Color: Black
2000$...:S

Back to your pc, it's good enough for picture editing but you just MIGHT ( repeat : MIGHT ) need to add some RAM. (but I'm still not sure about your processor)

Wow, you really don't know much about computers do you? If you have the world shittiest proccesor, 256MB of RAM and a 10GB Harddisk and you install Windows 7 Ultimate on it, it won't make it into a media machine, it will just not run properly and you wouldn't have a inch of diskspace available. Your computer's hardware is what defines what it is used for, if you have a Motherboard that has two Xeon proccesors on it, 4GB of RAM and 1 PB of Harddisk space, you would use it as a dedicated server. If it has a 300Mhz proccesor from 1994 you wouldn't use it as anything. If you have a slower/older computer video editting will not be as efficient as on a faster machine.
PS: There are no 7 core proccesors in exsitence, I have an AMD 6 core CPU in my gaming rig, I would know.
3 1TB drives connected to 1 motherboard is inpracticale and extremely slow. Just booting it would be a chore. Because the poor little bootloader has to search through 300000000000 Bytes just to find the bootcode. So don;t come with false shitlike that dude.

Back ontopic:
yes, the computer sounds fine for video editting and pciture editting. It might lag a little on high res games though. Nice buy

What I meant by that is that my Video Memory is 512 megs. But if it isn't enough (e.g. I will run COD4 on higher than medium settings) it will use the extra 1760 megs, which is a lot. You can find out everything you need about your comp by typing "dxdiag" (without quotes) in your Start menu search field or in Run.

@DannyDeth Correct. Your processor is AMD Phenom II X6, no? It is the only processor in the world (!) to have 6 cores, the biggest amount available at the moment. And it isn't really expensive, so it's a great deal.
