So, CoolRun we'll be talking on xfire as soon as possible so I at least start with the North American section.

Yeah sure. It would be awesome if we could all get together to chat one time so that recalling events may be easier. I'm pretty busy this week, so hopefully we can talk sometime during the winter break. Ask others for now.

I can also give you my shots from 06 to 09 to add even more pain

Haha, those should bring back memories.

Anyways, if I recall off the top of my head, a few important "events" I can remember would be:

- Power struggle / rise & fall / alliances of NA clans. (Goes back pretty far)
- CS2D League (1 vs 1 & 3 vs 3?)
- Wars between elite clans from other countries (Poland, Brazil, etc.)
- Specific clan related material (E.g - |K|, [TGV], [LCS2D], |Kc|, [Fl@me], [DBD], etc.)
- The rise and quick fall of new clans (There were quite a few but not too much I can remember; Whitepower is the only clan that comes to mind)
- |jUSTiN|'s maps! (|jUSTiN|, myself, and co-leader of [LCS2D], Camper, showed us around his his maps and its secrets.
- No dedicated servers at the time. Sometimes it was very hard finding the right servers to play in, especially for a server that can hold more than 10 players. Lee, Apollo, Padro, WarMachine, Rag, 666, Hak 5, and many more held pretty decent servers to play in (NA).
- Laser Clan Leader. He released hacks where you can find hidden lasers along with edited maps so you can walk normally where there is no platform.
- uprate6, blackwizard; known hackers. (Will keep this point updated for other players).
- Nifty / Helpful bugs. I'm talking about the reload glitch. The nade through wall glitch. Setting up what equipment you were going to buy before spawning. Etc.
- Weapon imbalance. Who would've thought that the Mac 10 was the strongest spray gun over both the AK-47 and M4A1? The SG550 and G3SG1 dealing the same damage even though the SG had more ammo. The glock having no burst fire. M4A1 and USP having no silencer.
- The original maps left out of the current CS2D!; bare with me here: as_castle; as_oilrig; as_plane; cs_druglab; cs_italy; cs_jungle; cs_stranded; de_bridge; de_cbble; de_defense; de_desert; de_desert2; de_dust1 (My god I love this version); de_inferno; de_spaceship; de_train; dm_aim; dm_docks; dm_knifearea; dm_lavagiant; dm_monastery; dm_RoofIsOnFire; dm_saeulen; dm_skill; dm_spacestation; dm_spacestation2; dm_spielbrett1; dm_temple; fy_doom; fy_iceworld; fy_noskill. Many of these maps should not have been forgotten in my view.

There's much more, but it's just sad I haven't written anything about this.

EDIT: I'll keep this post updated.

don't forget the downfall of [LaG] when almost everyone left when Vietnamese made nR giving a brutal blow to the only clan in north american CS2D with servers (at the time)
many failed the tryout and the original team was

Punisher (Ex TGV)
Zyos
Vietnamese (Ex LaG)
Extiinct (Ex LaG)
Xion (toXic leader)
FaiLure (Ex TGV)
Aimless (Ex TGV)
Sugar (Ex LaG)
Clawz (Ex LaG)

Then it fell 3months later.

Oh, and if you don't know, he created a wiki specifically for CS2D. It's not finished, but you could help him: http://CS2D.wikia.com.

In case you don't know he created the separate wiki long before you guys had this idea of puting in Wikipedia.

--- Edit ---
I was just checking, and yes, my friend, D-Shadow, actually is helping a lot. He fixed the article (he has lots of experience with wikis, each time I see him he is probably wiki-fiying stuff or some shit like that) and moved it. But don't ask me for further details as I'm not really into this wiki stuff.

Yea, I remember that guy... he used the old editor bug.
He'll be in the history of CS2D lol. And spammed the Stranded section...

I remember that there were some other guys (not that well-known like CoolRun, Lee or the guys from |K|) that played regularly and very well at that time: Mobysick (KingKiller/KingKilla), {Bod}Leader{Arian}, [SuP]Bloodyhell/Macaronne, [Sup]Leader[Haluk], Kayin (from WhitePower) and others (i will try to remember more).

About |jUsTiN|'s maps, I remember he had a lot of cool maps such as: druglab_JW, dm_theForest_JW, de_airport_JW, that had hidden lasers and stuff (you had to break a wall, or solve some sort of a puzzle). And one of his best maps was puzzle_JW which had ~8 levels.
Too bad that his maps do not work now :(.

I remember that there were less commands: like "sv_fow 1", "sv_wm 1", "wireframe" "sv_ff 1" "sv_restart" "sv_map ".

About the maps, remember when you couldn't join a server if you didn't have the map?

There were maps like dm_knifearea, as_airplane, dm_spacebattle/spaceship, or the one with AK47 on the terrorist's side and M4A1 on the ct's side, dm_flamethrower, and I remember that there was a map like it had a teleporter in the center and it could teleport you into a room with almost all weapons (lasers, flamethrowers).

A few notes about the wiki page: the CS2D wikipedia entry has been created and recreated several times due to lack of notability. The current article is already nominated for deletion due to lack of significant coverage of the material in question. To check out the guidelines, please refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:SIGCOV#General_notability_guideline

I have already bought us some time to improve and conform to the sigcov guidelines as its status is currently being deliberated upon, but we need to publish content with the following criterions:

1. Non-partial - This precludes introduction of clans, significant individuals (except maybe as a footnote), and communities into the article.
2. Informative - The current article is an outline of features available in CS2D. The ultimate goal is to expand upon every facet of the game so that no further research is necessary to understand what CS2D is.
3. Objective and focused - I'll illustrate this with an example as the term is too broad to explain:

The current section on CS2D clans is basically a list of clans. We need to instead explain what clans are, how clans are formed, and what relationships these clans have with the game and to each other.

The entry is at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CS2D

the deletion proposal is at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/CS2D
