you should be able to run this game without using WINE. that's why there is a special linux binary. i thought you would be able to too, but the binary didnt work properly... DC Admin Offline
well, it works on my ubuntu vm Worked perfectly well for me, except my sound didn't work. So I started using WINE as well, but that made my FPS drop to 35 :S the sound issues arises somewhere in ubuntu 10.04 and the problem remains in 10.10......
actually to play cs2d on ubuntu, what u need is just the windows zip package and the linux binary, then put the binary into the cs2d folder, change the directory to that folder and execute "./CounterStrike2D -24bit -fullscreen" (without quotation)
i tried wine so as to get rid of the sound problem. that is exactly the same as in windows except some machines only supports opengl but not directx Geez GAME BANNED Offline
