Errr. What?

I don't get the point of this thread. What's all about it?
What's now so special about March 9 2011? And what does it have to do with Mayans? I just don't get it.
Can someone explain it in plain English to me please?

WTF another fake story, if it's real, then the government should have knew this, they always have the latest news, by the time they should have made a gigantic ship to keep the president(of all the country) and their workers alive.

I'll take this like the millenium bug... Nothing but hype and speculation... This is purely because either I'm right and people wasted a lot of time over nothing or I'm wrong and we're all dead... So who cares?!

In situations of suspected impending doom, all you can assume is that the worst will happen, and surprisingly, dying is the easier of the two options. The worst possible outcome is that it was all hype, the mystery of mayans becomes tarnished, people feel foolish for trusting an older ideology and everyone gets back to living their life...

I would expect that for most people, this is a trivial distraction from the main point... "You might actually still be here tomorrow... So plan for that..."

You know, I just realised something. You don't believe in any form of god, yet you believe the Mayans can predict when the world is going to end?

Weather Report as of now: Slightly over-cast, but the clouds are blowing over me. Looks like no rain until Sunday/Saturday.
