When I start dedicated server (or new game) it automaticly goes into lan! AND i can't find it in a Internet server list !
When i give it to a friend (doesn't matter what friend) he CAN connect but other people doesn't see the server, JUST the people who i give a IP can connect... Is there any fix for this please AND HERE WHAT I DID:

-opened port UDP 36963 (say me if there's another port that i need open)
-disabled offline/lan thing
-configured firewall
-in sys... REPLACED usgn.de with 85.214.102.60 (do i need to add a dot at end of 60 ??!) and more...
-and please DON'T say me that i need to check a port because its correct, i checked it now
-AS I said people CAN connect with IP but there is no server in SERVER LIST !

Really? Try checking it again, make sure there are no other programs using the port.

For some reason, if you are hosting it on the same computer or network, it will only show in the LAN list. Try and get a friend to check if he can find it for you.

Go in http://www.whatismyip.com/
And then put IP:36963

at least, that makes no sence,too...

he need to forward the port. and hes done.
on your link he can see his ip. thats nice but he cant do anything with it at the moment.
he needs to use his brain
seriously robi4never:

-look for your routers name
-open www.google.com
-type in ROUTERNAME+PORT FORWARDING
-open your eyes
-look on some sites
-go to your routers menu and forward your ports
-do NOT open a new thread for this problems
-do NOT post in a few days again "omg help me here bump"
-use your brain

when you do all that iam realy shure that youre able to host a cs2d server. without doing all this? no, never.

btw: you will find your own server in your LAN because it is in your LAN. that does NOT have to mean that it isn't online.

IF it isn't online: port forward your router correctly. read one of the 1 mio threads and FAQs about that.

The definition of the bump. It's to bump a thread on an internet forum to post a reply purely in order to raise the thread's profile. This will typically return it to the top of the list of active threads. The term "to push-up" a thread is also used to describe this type of action. It has been suggested that "bump" is an acronym of "bring up my post", however this is almost certainly a backronym and the usage is entirely consistent with the verb "bump" which means "to knock to a new position".

If you want a LAN Dedi, change sv_lan to 0 in order to disable LAN mode and 1 to enable LAN mode. You can do this in the console of your dedicated server through the cs2d cmd rcon command, so to setup this dedicated server simply pick a rcon password and run the dedicated server and login through RCON. If you've typed it all correctly the server will not be listed on the online server list(afaik) and it'll be accessed only locally it'll then be in LAN/Offline Dedi mode, sort of say.

-DC , I just surfed , and it looks like i forwarded ports correctly BUT my modem thomson st780 is sh*t and it won't open some UDP ports, it's common problem with thomson modems... looks like I won't be hosting any cs2d servers untill i get new modem

It's not problem with port forwarding, it's just your ip: It's private one. People can connect to your server via ip but it can't be listed on server list.

I had same problem as you few years ago, but I changed my internet, to new one with public ip.

Ask your internet service provider about public ip.

Btw. It seems like most of people here like user DC don't understand that people have different internet connections, and port forwarding won't help them. Some people don't even have access to router.

@user mafia_man: I have no idea how you can think this. I know that people have different types of connections and routers/modems. That's why I can't provide a general solution for everyone and that's also why I always tell people to read their router/modem manual. It's not possible to make server hosting work automatically for everyone in a magical way.

And you don't have to ask your ISP for the IP. Just visit: http://www.unrealsoftware.de/usgn.php?s=ip
This must be your real public IP unless you are using weird proxy stuff.
