EDIT: Exact Specs
Graphics card GeForce GTX 580 [x3 SLI]
OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Ram24GB Ram Patriot
CPUQuad Core 3.46GHZ [Overclock 4.8Ghz]
HD1TB X 4 + Raid 10

Might buy new mother board that hasnt long come out then put 48GB of ram in it :3

You haven't posted your CPU. Just GHZ.
Doesn't mean much.

Also- wth would you need 48GB of RAM, or even 24GB?
user minttt has written
Oh Not really i'm just very future proof like that

Theres no performance boost AT ALL. In fact, it's even slowing down your computer because the latencies are goin up.
And in the Future (in the next 10 Years) you won't need 24GB, or even 48GB, --->DDR3<--- With a "shitty" Quad Core. Enjoy your no future proof boost lol.

And why no SSD?
herpderp

Also 3*580GTX SLI won't make much sense if you don't plan to play EVERY game on 3Full HD Screens with 4*Downsampling and Antialaising at full.
Enjoy your DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.1

EDIT: Damn, forgot my own specs:

Graphics card GeForce GTX 260
OS Windows 7 Home 64-bit
Ram4GB Ram DDR2 ~800mhz
CPUQ9400 2.66GHZ 2*3MB L2Cache @ 2.66GHZ
HD1TB + 250GB HDD

Also I'm planning on selling my Computer and buying one of these new Bulldozer CPU's which AMD will sell at the end of JUNE.

@Globetrotter

I am aware that it's slowing down the pc a bit. and I wrote that like at 3am So don't get Proof reading.

And the latencies 1,066MHz, 1333MHz, 1600MHz, and 2000MHz all perform only a couple of percentages apart in performance in games So it doesn't actually matter that much The only reason I have 24GB Ram is because Games are using more ram and more ram every year. I just don't want to upgrade something so soon. When your got the money it doesn't really matter anyway. Besides CPU Power and Video are main things in gaming, why no SSD? It didn't pass my time when I order the parts Besides this computer Run's perfectly fine for me. When did I say i wasn't playing every game on 3full hd screens with 4 Down sampling and antialaising at full? I only play cs2d on this laptop. I only use the gaming comp for games like crysis 2 etc etc. On 3D Not HD and my current motherboard is P6X58D Premium.

Edit:I do have a basic CD/Dvd driver. :l

Nope, when i record, 1min = 500mb+
So... its pretty full for me.
I just upload em with a different quality.

Currently, games aren't even using my full 4GB, let away 8GB.
Besides, I think you are only able to assign max ~3GB to a single process even in a 64bit enviroment - but not sure.

A single GTX 580 or even a GTX 560 would be perfectly fine then.

The Prob you have is that your PC is the exact opposite of future proof.

When programms need 24GB of RAM your CPU will be super uper freakin old -and when Games start to need the power of your GPU's they will also need DirectX 12 or a higher Shader.

So it's useless for you.
Take a look into a programm called "VMWare" and maybe you could use your monster fully.

(Sry for grammar misstakes/typos - I'm a gerfag)

My specs..is it alright??

If you want to write a little bit or play CS2D - I think it's ok for you, but if you want to do "serious" (Call of Duty, Gta4 etc.) gaming they're just WAY TOO low.

Video Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 430 1GB

GTX 430? There's no GTX 430. I think you mean GT 430
GTX is for high end gaming - GT is for low end gaming and stuff like that.

I know my processor will be shitty in the future I'm talking about motherboard/etc as before future proof 5-10years between then.

Your CPU Socket [1366] will be outdated then and new CPU's will need DDR4.
So no new CPU for you- only with a new Motherboard and new RAM.

And theres no way you can play games (high) with your PC in 5 Years and in 10 Years you won't be able to play at ALL. Cause you'll need a much more stronger CPU and DirectX 12 or higher.

You argued saying that 24GB of ram is future proof.
That statement "freaked" me out resulting in a disscusion between us.
Sry if spammed your thread

Btw. You could create a "RamDISK" something like a HDD just on the RAM and freakin fast.

Yea I could do that but I didn't argue it was future proof you just started making troll like statements oh well o.O or I could try overclock it something along the lines of ramDISK and that'd make it faster. I meant ram as in how many programs can be open'd on to the ram. If I've confused you or something.

Intel Pentium dual core 1.60 GHZ
Onboard graphcs card, ( reall bad..)
Not enough memory ( 120GB)
Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit ( the only good thing about this Laptop yeah it's a Laptop...)
Old Acer screen 1280x1024 + Laptop screen 1280x800 ( Dual screen setup FTW! )

Waiting for the end of this year to get a new PC...

Only thing good about this is that i have a Razer Lycos KB + Razer Vespula Mousepad + Logitech G700 gaming mouse. Waiting for that PC to join these babies...

Doesn't Anyone have an AlienWare PC ova here ( or Laptop ?) ?

Guys, your processors can live a little more than they're ment to, if you know how to overcock them, then have a good enough cooler for them, and aren't scared that your PC's explode on you or your motherboard melts then yeah :D... ( thinking about over clocking an old Pentium 4 HT 3.20 GHZ PC i barely use... [ don't use it coz of the shitty graphics card, can't even run windows aero] )

24GB of ram holy shit... You know that'll be useless unless you have 6 monitors running HD and running all the programs you know and all the games you got at the max. At the end your CPU wont be able to process tham much information at a time. Unless you have some 6 core ( or 12 lolz) cpu overclocked to 6GHZ hehe. Man that must be heaven
