Stereotyping is a normal part of life, and generally it does describe the group of people, eg saying nerds are weak. This makes sense and is usually true, right? However, stereotyping according to race is what is bad about it, saying that fat people can't run is a stereotype, but it is usually true and isn't meant in an insulting way, it's just denoting a group of people. ( when have you ever seen someone really fat being able to complete a 400m sprint? Please, I need to see that YouTube video! )

Being overweight logically implies your muscles will have to work harder which logically implies that an overweight person with equivalent muscle strength a non-overweight person will not be able to physically perform as well.
Being Muslim does not imply that you are, or are more likely to be, a terrorist.

You've got to be careful and distinguish between when you're drawing a logical conclusion as opposed to judging a group using a logical fallacy, or judging a group illogically as a whole. The most common fallacy used in stereotyping is this.
