However if it's for banking or scripting/programming I would pick Ubuntu!
And windows 7 isn't bad I like it, just a bit shiny.
But Linux is better than Windows. Except for gaming.

My vote for XP. 4 years using this install CD every time OS gonna bad, still happy with it.

Fossil has writtenMicrosoft has really gone stupid. Windows xp was the best, now that windows 7 is out they have stopped supporting xp. And windows 7 still has bugs and aint compatible with all programs and you need a fast computer to use it. So I say, stick with xp microsoft... Or make xp better. Also windows 7 is confusing, in xp there was only the taskbar start menu and icons. Now when you open up your pc you see your desktop.... Full of useless shit... That's what 7 is... Full of useless tools.yep... And these tools take soo much of your fuckkin RAM.... I can't even open paint LOL.. (The paint part is just a joke)
You cannot into Windows 7 proper using. I compose music, make movies/special effects, code and script on Windows 7. It works so fast. When I log in I can start any application and it will start immediately, you don't have to wait (in case you're using XP shit). My Windows 7 has no useless shit - I use all the functions and I'm happy with that.
I have 50(!) working processes on my computer!
