Hi to every skinner out there, I've decided to make the 2nd part of my skinnig tutorial
--------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------
If miss the first part here it is http://www.unrealsoftware.de/forum_posts.php?post=243508#jn

Now lest start with shading, shade is just the absence of light, so try to use darker colors in shade.

Shading depends on what are you making, In weapons some areas have diferent shading from other areas, here some examples:

THE WEAPONS FROM ABOVE ARE NOT MADE BY ME!

So lets give it a try

EDIT: It's left to right shade NOT shape!
--------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------
Now lets talking about shape and details.
The shape can be easy or hard, depending on the weapon, same goes to details.

The details are a very important part on you skins, if you mix good details with a good shaiding you will have an awesome weapon. Example:

--------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------
Finishing your weapons:
After making your weapons, be shure you didn't left any pink-ish pixels, it will make that your weapon have a bad look in the buy menu.

---------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
Making good skins take time and practice, mix all this techniques and some day you will be a great skinner.
If you have any question, post it on comments.

Also, as I noticed in your last example ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ELIMINATE PINK PIXELS. I see that some of your black pixels are still tinted pink-ish (specifically the bottom right corner of the butt stock).

FU*KIN PERFECT SKIN!

First off, that's a sprite, secondly, no you cannot download/use that since no one on US.de created that.

To skin you apply a texture to something, or change the appearance of a particular graphic, we replace default CS2D sprites with user made sprites.
