kind of my design is quite a bit larger than his as well as mine is a 2 stage system that alternates the plasma between hot and cold states. The hot state will be used to also generate steam for a turbine in much the same way a nuclear reactor does.

the plasma generated it self will be a sphere roughly with the diameter of 1cm and due to its hot state reaching well over 3000 degree Celsius I need to generate a very powerful EM field to properly contain it with out risking damage to the rig.

This is why I wan t my rotary Tesla coil to be able to generate 500,000 volts if not more from a standard AC 120 volt wall socket.

Dam I better make a thread for this seem were getting a bit off topic.

Dude, all voltage and no current = no plasma. You need insane amplitude, like I said before. Also, I want to point out the obvious fact that you cannot create energy. With your theoretical system ( if you actually built it ) you could create energy. Not gonna happen.

No you can't 'create' energy...however you can 'steal' it

Law of energy conservation posits that it`s not possible to produce energy at a gain.

What this electrifying scheme equates to, in the end, is first splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen, then burning hydrogen as fuel. This scheme can only work at a loss - it will invariably consume more power then it can produce.

N.B. - no, it`s not possible to circumvent this by tossing in concepts like plasma and high voltage. The gist of issue remains the same - if this contraption could work at a gain, or even at equal pace, it would be a perpetuum mobile.

___

Frankly, much more interesting venue of research would be into solar energy. For all intents and purposes, it`s the only "free" source of energy we`re gonna see in the near future.

Not to mention that it`s the most, ahem... illuminating one.

I am not creating energy from thin air I am using Hydrogen gas a a fuel source as ground water in plentiful in my area.

And the electrical energy is primarily generated from the plasmas heat which in turn will be used to boil water generate steam and turn a steam turbine.

I could have gone with a home built IEC nuclear reactor which would have served the same purpose but I don't want to deal with any radiation regardless of how minute its levels may be with IEC reactors.

Also there are a power elite in the US they are not the 1% as generally stated its more along the line or 0.01% IE the banking cartels that comprise and own fraud & private central banks such as the Federal Reserve, IMF, and World Bank. They control the US and it domestic and foreign policies in 2 ways

1) They use lobbyists to pressure members of Congress via bribes and political pressure. Each member on average has about 72 lobbyists. They also use astro turf AKA false grass roots organizations to advocate their wishes backed up by false & or manipulated data and corrupted intellectuals.

2) They make use of the revolving door concept by offering politicians extremely well paying jobs with benefits after they end their term or service in office so long as these politicians are in favor of the corporations and organizations that back them. A great example of this is Goldman Sachs which more or less comprises the US Treasury for the past 30 years. Members of the Treasury and Goldman Sachs move back and forth between the 2 organizations allowing the CEOs at Goldman to manipulate US Treasury polices in their favor to give them an edge against their domestic competition.

For example Goldman Sachs used the revolving door concept to eliminate financial regulatory laws to allow them selves to gamble with out risk using derivatives and toxic mortgages to eliminate Leman Brothers, Fannie Mae, & JP Morgan in effect creating a mutual monopoly between Chase and Goldman Sachs.

Their is nor real conspiracy per say its just our of control financial lunatics hell bent on profit at all costs ... the motive always has and always will be profit and monopolies are natural the best option for those who seek nothing but profit.

Also @user AliceShade: Im not creating a perpetual source of energy just enough to power my own home and any extra electricity produced will be stored via capacitors.

As for the solar option I have been considering it as well but it can no longer be used by average joes in Indiana you need a special license for it and in the end the costs just for getting the permit and installing the equipment for it is well over $100,000. Its the same thing with wind turbines as well their cost and permits are far to expensive for regular people to afford thanks to local power monopolies like NIPSCO and ComEd.

Therefore I need a new system one where the local laws don't apply to. Such is my predicament.

You cannot create energy but you can shape it so it would suit your needs. Energy is all around us, the knowledge of exploiting it alone may be the savior of humankind.

Also Alice I find your posts unnecessary elaborate, you may want to dumben them a bit, for the sake of a better communication that is~

Separating water into hydrogen and oxygen will take more energy then whatever you can produce using the resulting hydrogen as fuel.

There is NO way you can circumvent that - if there was, electricity would be free.

I could use wind turbines to generate the necessary electricity for the electrolysis process but again the dammed local laws prevent me from using that legally.

I still need to find a way around this using the power of nature around me.

It would be much more cost-efficient to put all the money you`re going to spend on materials towards something that will improve your profit margins.

Or, in short, put an effort towards earning more rather then bother with expending less.

___

Or, if you`re so inclined to mess with voltage, switch over to making novelty bug zappers. That`s gonna afford you more electricity then any generator would.

I want to generate my own power to become independent from the local power company money isn't really an issue nor do I care about profiting from my ideas. They money in this country is worthless paper anyways >>

You would still need the input of electricity from somewhere to power your extraction of hydrogen. More electricity then you`ll be able to generate from hydrogen fuel. So either that electricity has to come from a conventional gas or coal powered generator, or you`re gonna be every bit as hooked up to the municipal grid as you were before this whole scheme. Actually, even moreso.

There`s a good reason why hydrogen isn`t so widespread as fuel yet - there`s no technology to extract it that would have an acceptable rate of energy dissipation. Splitting it out of water and then using it as fuel won`t even come at 50% efficiency.

Again, it would be more cost-effective to just have some other way to generate energy. Conventional gasoline generator, for example. It would still be more affordable then what you`re espousing.

When the subject of 'free energy' comes up, most people find the subject amusing and quote the 'laws' of thermodynamics...instead of being open minded and realising most particles in the universe above absolute zero are potential sources of energy. Why the very atmosphere we exist in every day is is full of energy that converts to a massive bolt of power through lightning via static electricity. Yes in nature you need a catalyst, requiring different forms of energy. The key is learning to steal fom one energy source to create another. An example: say I am wondering through the bush, or scrub or woods. I have a bit of meat or fish I want to cook. There is a pile of dry leaves and sticks that have have fallen from trees, the sun is out and I use a magnifying glass to concentrate the suns light to form a beam of heat energy to ignite the leaves creating a fire. I throw on my food and cook it. I have stolen energy from one source to release energy from another source using very little energy on my own behalf

(MOSTLY ON TOPIC)
the "Illuminati" is / are just a group of intellectuals that are trying to influence the world by controlling small parts of it. if anything I'm more concerned about groups like Al-Qaeda and the Chinese...

BTW when I read Illuminati I instantly thought "This thread is about Deus Ex isn't it?" I could not be anymore wrong, instead its about conspiracy's and Tesla coils

(WARNING THIS IS EXTREMELY OFF TOPIC)
@user Phenixtri: while i am pretty open minded about energy i personally think that using a rotary Tesla coil and the electrolysis of water to create hydrogen and oxygen to use as fuel to power your house is going a bit overboard.
However if you have a stream near your house that is both fast and strong enough you could build a water wheel that is connected to a powerful magnet that is inside a coil that way when the water wheel rotates the magnet rotates inside the coil thus creating electricity that is of course if the authorities will let you build it... Other wise you could illegally hide some solar panels on top of the roof of your house and then using wood / some other construction material you could essentially hide them from view, and then you can protect them from falling objects by using Clear High-density polyethylene and some J-B Weld. However if the authorities have access to satellite imagery or Google earth this idea wont work...

But then again that's my opinion

yea there is nothing but farm land for miles around were I live So unfortunately no water wheels for me.

In the end talk is kinda cheap so we will see the result after I get the 1st prototype up and running.

hey yeah, I always wanted to ask this:
What if you use the hydrogen in fusion reactor (assume we have one) and feed the electricity back to hydrogen extraction plant? O.o
there should at least be some energy left to use?? O.o

(you're all genius)

Nope.

You`ll get less energy then what you put into procuring hydrogen.

Also, just for the record - hydrogen is useless for fusion reaction. You need deuterium and tritium. Which are heavily power-costly to produce. Modern fusion generators tend to veer away from hydrogen entirely and use lithium isotopes instead.

___

End point - one needs a fuel to obtain energy. No matter what kind of fuel it is, it won`t work at 100% efficiency - it will always lose out some energy on heat, dissipation, friction, y`name it. In short, on doing useless work that is unavoidable.

So any scheme that relies on using the fuel then spending that energy on restoring the fuel used is doomed to run out of initial momentum and halt pretty darn sharpish.

Only system with external income of energy can continue working at stable throughput. That external income can be either some kind of fuel that`s NOT produced by this system or energy bleedoff from larger system (hint-hint, sun`s the largest energy output system).

Just to preempt some questions - sun works on insane amount of fuel. Trillions tons of hydrogen/helium/otherstuff it`s made of. If devolved to simple terms, sun`t just one giant bonfire. Eventually, it will run out of fuel, too.

Well Antimatter reactions are for a fact very efficient with 100% conversion rate of matter to energy so long as you can find a way to harness the energy.

Im also not using the Plasma reactor to power it self the hydrogen is the fuel source and all power generated will be either used for my home or stored in capacitors.

Right now im not worried about generating the power for producing hydrogen efficiently as im more worried about building a working prototype capable of generating some power.

Im also quite interested in IEC reactors as of late so perhaps I will use that as well who knows.
