Well, I got into a debate with a friend about the topic of being, as the street says, "stupid". His example is as follows, in my words:

An individual sees an equation of 5+5=20. He thinks it seems right. Now mind you, he does not know anything about math.

Would this be considered "stupid", since he does not really KNOW about mathematics?

Hmm in my opinion that would be considered "uneducated" not stupid.

If someone doesn't have common sense that is considered stupid...

I also at times need the definition of a word. Wouldn't it be great if there was a book that had words and their definitions? They could call it a... dictionary!

According to society, stupid seems to be what others are defined as when they know less or can do less than those who are calling them stupid. Stupid is a redundant and.. stupid word itself.

I don't consider stupid to be an accurate word to describe anything, rather I use this word to describe something weird.

According to whoever uses the word it's used to show off how awesome and smart they are. Dumb is better to describe not-so-smart people.

And btw this thread is stupid.
