Not quite familiar with your ISP but I believe the speed is actually slow for the area you live in.. I expected more from residential providers in the Emirates..

To my conclusion there still can be a lot of improvement to all the lines because some speedtests I've seen are unacceptable..

If you've seen my previous internet speed post you'd notice that the average speed is most likely this:

The internet subscription I use is cheap and moderate. It's not really slow but it's acceptable for everyday use. Internet connections here range from 8MBPS fiber optics to 300MBPS-1GBPS.

The prices for internet connections here are extremely satisfying for fiber optics but I also don't live in Dubai. Services there are better.

Then it's decent. But having fiber optic for 8 Mbps is pretty much killing it.

Just wanted to make sure I had the same speed as before. I got a bill of 1001K SEK I need to pay for the upcoming 3 months using the service provided by the ISP that I'm using. I'm still satisfied with my choice of ISP. It's worth it, affordable and has nice speeds unlike the rest of the ISP's I've compared. In other words Bahnhof has one of the fastest speeds and the most reliable price plans in entire Sweden, hence why my net is faster than 95% of SE. I'm probably making the australians jelous too. Anyhow, I'm good with the speed I have. Who needs more than what I have and why?

You think yours is shitty, I pay roughly the same amount as KimKat for my unshaped ( to a point of 150GB ) 1Mb/s line. It's fkin ludicrous down here in ZA.

Pretty bad , i live in portugal

How much do you pay for that?
My ISP is ZON and I have 30 Mbps download/2 Mbps upload for less than 40€.

P.S.: don't know what's up with this ISP. First they had a server right here on my island (São Miguel), but then they changed it to Cabo, Santarém (mainland Portugal) and even more recently to Porto (north mainland). K.
