I'm facing an issue that has come up only in the recent updates. I have made numerous edits to the map, but I have checked over it for anything blocking ways for bots to move, and anything blocking them to collect something has been eliminated.

I have seen a post regarding a similar issue, but the only solution was bot nodes, which i'm unsure how to use, and this other one where I was told to eliminate items that cannot be collected without a teleport for bots, which I tried.

Anyone has an applicable solution to this problem and can offer advice or assistance with 'bot nodes' will be appreciated.

Things that make bots go nuts (or simply stand still):
• Teleporters in general. Don't use them if you want to use bots
• Important paths which are blocked by breakables
• Important paths which are blocked by any other dynamic stuff (e.g.: dynwall)

Don't use this stuff in your maps. It's pretty certain that bots will work then. Bots can still work if you use this stuff and if there are alternative routes which are not blocked / only connected with teleporters.

How to use bot nodes
• Bot nodes are used to define "important" points for bots
• Bots will head to these points from time to time
• Place them at important places (mostly crossings)
• Don't put too many on your map (about 3-15 should be good)
• Don't build "paths" with them, just mark spots!
• Don't place them at spawning points, bombspots, hostages, domination points or flags. Bots will already head to these places anyway. No need for bot nodes there!
• You can place 2 or more bot nodes close together to increase the probability that bots go to a certain position
• Bot nodes are optional (you don't have to use them) but bots will always go the direct and shortest path to the map goal(s) (bombspots, hostages, vip escape zone, flags,...) and enemy spawn locations if you do not place any bot nodes

Well, the issue still remains. I'm unclear if env_objects may be the cause of the issue.

Some bots may move, and sometimes all initially, but after death they seem to lose the ability to move or move well.

I don't see why my maps worked and now don't. :S

@user loldlold123: Try Looser 's bots. In the other hand you know cs2d bots are only scripts, they don't learn something more and new during playing.
