back to the FPS hands thing- if you guys played Mount & Blade any/all if you play in first person mode, you will see the players full body, his hands, his feet, his torso, and of course his weapon/tool... i feel this would be good, because then the game could run in 3rd and 1st perspectives, by simply removing the head model, and replace it with a camera, this way you can see the armour and weapons you have equipped without having to goto inventory (plus it just looks cool)

this would be great, i feel this is the best fps game perspective yet, well better then COD, which dont even have legs... and halo which dont have a torso.

That is an amazing thing, just what I wanted, like mount and blade. Most games don't do that for some reason... but it just looks cool. Really hope that's in the game.

Are you planning on adding support for Oculus Rift, or have you even thought about it?

As they have a free SDK specifically for Unity, it should be relatively easy to implement.
Of course it'd take extra time (And money to actually get one) but it'd be quite awesome, imo.

What are you thoughts about it?

I agree with this very since i saw Halo 3 as i grew up playing FPS like COD and MOH... and the legs thing was a good realism update, M&B took it to the most realistic the FPS can get... full body view... arms, legs, and torso, and the weapon and armours the player equips... so course this feature is wishful... it's unnecessary the game can run without it.

Of course it is unnecessary. A lot of stuff in games is unnecessary, but looks also matter right?
If it not in the final game, okay, no problem. If it is, it's just better!

Agreed, at the very least... an item sits on the players screen when he selects the item, like minecraft for example...

One thing i think SIII needs the most is an improved crafting system, not like minecraft mind you... but clicking on all the items then pressing the craft botton is kind of... annoying... and for some reason i get lag in the SII inv menu... so i think DC needs to work out a new system... maybe a bit like farcry 3's or even a bit like Terraria... i dont know... just something a bit better... also when you make stuff like arrows rapidly... it may give people with sensitive eyes a headache, or in worst case - a seizure... the one that people get when blight lights flash and stuff.

the crafting system needs to be fixed... some how.

@user Jawohl: Yea, what about free movable items in a window? But then the recipes must be intuitively understandable, easy. Also some notes like in SII "I need just a short string for %itemName%. Hmm, maybe I can find some vines?"

what do you mean by "free moveable items" do you mean swapping around the items in the grid like for example... the only way to put an item in some order is by dropping every thing then picking them all up in order
-example from Stranded II's tedious menu.

Well, the UGSN probs are fixed, have you resumed your development now?

also, can i just ask you, are you making this game from scratch and adding ideas as you go or do you have it all planned?

Good question, i think it would be good to accept some of the people's ideas... because taking ideas from fans is one way of improoving your game... for the better... usually.

Yes, of course I continue to work on SIII. Some things are planned, some not. I always read and consider ideas which are posted.
Please don't use this thread for general ideas though. Only for ideas which are directly related to the dev blog contents.

I think it would me practical to make forum page for Stranded III (like for all the rest of the games) And there is these two development threads (blog and comment), and the "Stranded III Idea thread"...

@user AssassinLV: Stranded III (and any other possible up-coming games) will only get its own section when the game is finished.

It would seem unlikely and would generate loads of spam to create one now, also people would be confused and start creating threads of which the content: "Where is the download link??"

The Projects section serves for this exact purpose at this moment, as the game is still in development.

@user Yates, Yes.... I guess you are right... just here a lot of peoples are writing the ideas about the game it self, instead of discusting the "Maded" things, and giving ideas for "Maded" things...
