Good to see the assets being made so quickly! But what's going on in the code department? Are the gameplay features coming along nicely? Or are you just making assets to distract yourself from coding?

@user Pehlivan: Nice idea but crushing the shell wouldn't work with skeletal animation. Or... it would but I would have to increase the mesh and bone complexity a lot for that so it's not really worth it. Or script the death with some fancy tricks.

Also that kind of animation would only work well if the snake dies because of physical impact. It might also die because it's poisoned or burning or whatever. It might look weird if it gets crushed in these cases.

I will stick with one generic death animation for the beginning because my plan is to finish this game someday (yes, I'm serious about that). Fancier deaths might be added later.

@user DC: Could you have some download links for your new models. I find it almost impossible to find a realistic crab anywhere for my mod. Also I think it would be cool to have a tiger in my mod

@user ModJuicer: The models are not finished yet (e.g. rigging and animation missing). Also I don't want to see them in other games (even if they are SII mods) before SIII is released. Therefore I won't make them available beforehand. Sorry.

Oh. One more question. Will you make so that in SIII, animals won't run into trees and other stuff. Its kind of annoying.
By the way, your tiger's nose is much too big, and it's chest is too big. It's ears are pointy, its claws are too large, and the texture is a bit lacking. Here's a good texture.Tiger Stripes
That's just some advice. I love the tiger, but it would be epic if it had a little more work done to it.

Thanks for the advice.
I want to try to make the AI in SIII a bit more advanced so it doesn't do stupid things like running into objects but I can't promise anything at this point.

oh, great. I hope that works.
Also, it would be cool if S3 wouldn't turn black when minimized like SII does. I would assume you already fixed this, but it wouldn't be very cool if S3 turned black in the middle of a game.

user DC Hey, how much are you working on this (are you too busy right now or something) and if you are working on it right now, could you develop the tiger. I really like the idea, and it probably could be kind of easy to make it more realistic.

I created an account tonight because I just learned that I can keep watch on the development. Stranded II was a favorite for me, especially since it required very little hardware to run. Now I still to this day play Stranded II and I'm very anxious for Stranded III! I saw that it was under development for a couple of years and forgot about it because i figured it wasn't going to be worked on, but I'm very glad I decided to look deeper into it. Keep up the good work! I'm gonna be keeping up with the development blog for sure!
