Hello everyone. I am the fairy and these last few weeks I've been on holiday to raise money to buy a computer. I'll buy piece by piece and so was asking if these settings are good:

Motherboard:
GIGABYTE GA-B75M-D3V - Socket 1155 - Chipset B75 - Micro-ATX

Graphics Card:
SAPPHIRE TECHNOLOGY Radeon HD 5450 - 1 GB GDDR3 - PCI-Express 2.0

Ram:
CORSAIR PC Memory Value Select 2 GB DDR3-1333 PC3-10600 CL9

CPU:
INTEL Pentium Sandy Bridge G630 - 2.7 GHz - 3 MB L3 Cache - LGA 1155 Socket

But even then I still have a second option and one more question, should I keep these settings or wait until Christmas and receive these:

Motherboard: Asus P8B75-V +

CPU: Intel Core i3 2100 3.1 GHz (this cpu comes with a graphics chip, then, is not required the use of a graphics card)

Ram: PC KVR1333D3N9K2/4G Kingston 2 x 2 GB

I recall that in my country we are on the 5th of October and Christmas is on December 25

And you need to check your build for compability.
GDDR3 and PCIE 2.0 are a little bit old.

And by the way,I am getting new PC too,cause I have brithday today. (Nobody gives a shit,I know.)

GFX card is fine, I am sure you can run some newer games (like Mass Effect 3 on high/middle settings, BF3 on middle/low), yet if you want PC for playing games, get atleast athlon x4 or i5 as user palomino: said and better Graphics card and raise up your RAM up to 4/6/8 GBs.

GeForce 8800 is much too old. Even if it has 2GB RAM, it's pretty bad compared to the Radeon HD 5450

GeForce 8800 is much too old. Even if it has 2GB RAM, it's pretty bad compared to the Radeon HD 5450


performance wise a geforce 8800 (doesn't matter if it's a GT or GTX) smokes a HD 5450 for sure, even if the radeon HD 5450 is newer. Everthing else is better on the HD 5450, way less TDP, less noice and a higher version of direct x (but you can't take advantage of it because it is a low range office gpu)

buy other video card gtx 240 or geforce 8600 gts
or ati hd 5570 1 gb you can run battlefield 3 on meduim with it and also work at 2gb ram as well

Trash that card, seriously, get something from the nVidia GeForce range - a 460 would be pretty decent, and get at least an i5 and for christ sake get two sticks of 4 gb RAM.

And what about your Power Supply Unit? Or does that come with your case? If you're going to make a decent gaming PC you'll need at least 650 watt.

Atleast 4gb ram for gaming, 3 is not enough for new games. Allso if you want good preformance, and high graphics buy a radeon hd 6870/7870 or higher or an nvidia geforce gtx 550 ti or higher + and a power supply unit with at least 650 watts like @user Majatek: said, and 6-8gb ram.
