After having a'lot of problems with my laptop.
I'm getting a PC, I'm going to put it all together by myself.

What CPU should I get?
AMD or Intel /at least 4 cores.

What GPU should I get?
Nvidia or ATI /at least 2GB.

What Motherboard should I get?
CPU and GPU have to be compatible obviously.

I'll get 4-8 GBs of Ram.

All products need to be in New Zealand as I cannot be stuffed to ship stuff.

I suggest a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti as graphic board and a Intel Core i5-2500K as your CPU.

Guessing you don't want your RAM to be compatible with the motherboard?

CPU:
*AMD: FX 4XXX
Best = FX-4300
Intel: i5-3550, i5-750, i5-760, i7-8XX - i7-3XXX
Best = i7-4770K

GPU:
*nVidia: GeForce GTX 6XX
Best = GTX 690
AMD: HD 7XXX
Best = HD 7990

Some of the GPUs above only have 1GB but look through them. They should all be able to play next-gen games.

* = recommended

EDIT: Why I recommend AMD processors? Because you can by and 8-core CPU that is 30% better for about half the price of an i7 CPU. Some people say Intel is better, but really it's just a brand name.

You should tell us what your budget is, how much money you're willing to spend on it, what you plan on doing with the computer etc.

Right now i'd say, get an i7 core and AMD hd7970 and 16 gig RAM, nice 200g SSD and a 30'' monitor.

An i7 is really expensive and unecessary if you are just going to use the pc for gaming, 8 gbs of ram is enough, SSDs don't make any difference in games and HDDs are cheaper.

Tell us your budget, it will be easier to suggest.
Regarding to the details that you've mentioned, i would suggest you get an Intel i5 or 1 of the AMD athlons (the newest ones which have a lower price than Intel's i5s).
For a GPU i would go for the Radeon HD 6870 2GB edition which is pretty good and it costs about 200-350 euros, or go for something like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130683 .
Get 8GB, because if you're going to play newer games you will need more.

$900 is my budget.

I thought 6 cores was the best, man 8 cores!

I looked at Tastech,
and found the 8 core $200-250 that's really good! the i7 is
$400-450 so I think i'll go with the AMD cpu,

-----------

Thanks for all the comments.

They do. Loading is in most cases faster than on a HDD. One schoolmate bought a SSD for his computer. Everytime when he plays GTA SA he's feeling like boss because he's like skipping the loading screen (due to the SSD).

@user J4x: No dude, you know when someone is an elite nerdy gamer when he spends more than 10 dollars on a keyboard.

Good for you. Go get that keyboard!

Yeah get a cheaper monitor and keyboard and dvd reader (you can get a perfectly fine one for $15), and I'm sure you can get that same hard drive for way less (I got 2tb 7200rpm for $99). Then get a better gpu and cpu (8350). Also, go to newegg and watch for SALES, I built my computer with nothing being at stock price.

@user ExecL: The monitor is bad, there are far more better ones for a lower price, that PSU will have problems with that build, you need atleast 550Watts or more.

If you buy a cheaper keyboard, you can at least get a bigger screen. 19 inch? Do you live in the third world or what. Even my screen is 24 inch.

Some new items, like a better graphics card and a cheaper keyboard and a cheaper and better looking case.

• GPU > Gigabyte GV-N640OC-2GI GT 640 PCIE Video Card, 2GB DDR3. (Nvidia GT 640 2GB DDR3/ 350w) $167.00,

• Case > NZXT Source 210 Elite Mid ATX Tower Case, No PSU, White $77.00,

• Power Supply > 500w Raidmax RX-500 ATX Power Supply, Black. $45.00,

• Key board > Logitech Ultra Flat Keyboard. $33.00,

Total $1,118.00

That keyboard is alright for $33.00,

I won't get a 24" its like $300. I can go with a 19", for $160
