The damage reduction is calculated server-sided. There is no relation to lag compensation at all.

what i meant is that if you can implement that functionality, i really see no reason you can't implement lag compensation.

All log/console related bugs of the new version have already been fixed. I'll release a fix this week.

So far, I like the update. I haven't been finding any new bugs with the game, other than the lighting error one. But that is about it. Good work DC. Keep it up!

After updating to the hotfix I am still seeing some logging issues.
Things are alot better, but there are still some issues.

The problem seems to be occuring when people leave and join the server.

Yeah. Empty lines. Not that big of an issue, just makes the log files larger than they need to be.

Console messages always have just one color for performance reasons.

if i were making a console, i would make it single color only for performance reasons


no seriously different colors in a single line shouldn't affect performance in any notable way. i guess it's kind of annoying to code that though

Damn. I knew that someone wouldn't buy that explanation. The actual reason (besides the performance impact which is minimal) is the automatic line break stuff which is used in the console. I couldn't re-use my existing multi-color rendering code in combination with that.

Of course it wouldn't be a big deal to actually implement this but for which reason? It's not required in the console (in my opinion). The console is for input and debug output only. Yeah come on.. call me lazy now. I don't care.
